Last Friday we had the pleasure of organising and hosting a presentation for Children's Book Week®. We engaged the lovely Alyssa from The Literature Centre to tell us all about "The All New Must Have Orange 430" by Michael Speechley and "Stellarphant" by James Foley.

Children from Ongerup Primary School and Gnowangerup District High School were able to join us in learning all things picture books. They talked about the different elements of a picture book, the symbolism in the illustrations and looked at James Foley's first drafts and concept art!

This event was proudly supported by the WA Government and the The Children's Book Council of Australia.

Please note the library will be closed on Friday the 22nd of August. We will remain open on the 20th (Wednesday) and 21st (Thursday).

The Gnowangerup CRC will be closed on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of August for staff performance development and training.

We appreciate your understanding during this time and look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen on Monday, the 25th of August.

Please note: The Gnowangerup Library will remain open on the 20th and 21st of August as usual.
