What is a Bite Registration and Why is it Important?
When making new dentures, one of the most important steps is taking a bite registration. This is when we record how your upper and lower jaws come together—basically, how you bite.
For patients with no natural teeth (edentulous), this step helps us work out the correct height for your dentures and make sure your smile looks natural and feels comfortable. It also ensures your dentures don’t feel too bulky or too flat, and that you can chew and speak properly.
If this step isn’t done right, the final dentures might not fit well, could cause sore spots, or make your face look sunken or overfilled.
At Aperiteeth denture clinic, we take extra care during this stage to make sure your new smile feels right—and looks like you.
