Health-conscious… but not neurotic.

Because when it tips into anxiety, that’s doing more harm than the hot chips ever will, for you and your kids.

I absolutely love seeing the shift toward natural health in mums. It genuinely makes me so happy. When I first started talking about this 5+ years ago, it was mostly eye rolls 😅 and now it’s becoming the norm, which is incredible.
But… are we taking it too far?

Are we creating more health issues through the stress and anxiety of trying to do everything “perfectly”?

I focus on the basics. I choose products and brands I trust, use daily, and genuinely love, things that actually make a difference.

Am I striving for perfection? Absolutely not.

Sometimes I’ve got a stain I want gone and I’m reaching for the Vanish. Sometimes the fruit at the conventional market stall is WAY more delicious than the organic and I LOVE getting my hair done.

It’s about awareness without obsession.
Doing better where you can… without the overwhelm.

Let’s talk natural fibre activewear…

Most activewear is made from synthetic fibres that can contain chemicals you probably don’t want sitting on your skin especially when you’re sweating in them and wearing them for hours. Many of these materials are linked to hormone disruption.
😅

I’ll be honest, I’m NOT perfect with this. Sometimes the more natural fibre brands don’t quite vibe with my personal style, and they come with a higher price tag. But it’s something I’m conscious of, and I’m always on the lookout for options that feel good and look good.

These are a few brands I’ve been loving lately:

If you’ve found a natural fibre activewear brand you love, please share your recos - I’m always keen to discover more 🤍

This is an easy mid-week slow cooked chuck steak I actually stole from my sister-in-law 🤎

I’ve tweaked it a little and added extra veg to make it a more nutrient-dense, no-fuss dinner for busy days.
Perfect timing for the cooler weather! Throw everything in, let it do its thing, and you’re rewarded with the most tender, flavourful beef that just falls apart.

Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1–1.2 kg beef chuck steak
• Salt & black pepper
• 1 large yellow onion, roughly chopped
• 1 cup carrots, chunky cut
• 1 cup celery, chopped
• 8 cloves garlic, smashed
• 1 tbsp Italian herb seasoning
• 2 tbsp brown coconut sugar
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 400–500 ml beef stock
• 2 bay leaves
• 1–1½ cups frozen peas
• Fresh parsley (optional)
• Creamy mashed potatoes, to serve

Method:
Preheat oven to 160°C.
Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven. Season and sear the beef on all sides until deeply browned, then set aside.
In the same pot, sauté onion, carrots and celery with a pinch of salt and pepper for ~6 minutes.
Lower heat and add garlic, Italian seasoning, tomato paste, coconut sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 2 minutes.
Return beef to the pot, pour in stock, add bay leaves and peas, then season lightly.
Cover and slow cook for ~3 hours until the beef is fall-apart tender.

Enjoy x

Your skincare routine matters, but what you put into your body matters even more. Gut health, collagen-rich foods, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids all play a huge role in keeping your skin clear, radiant, and balanced.

At the same time, every toxic skincare product adds to your hormonal imbalance and toxic load, something we can easily avoid.

Swipe through my favourite low-tox skincare products from .rituals and from gentle cleansers to nourishing serums and moisturisers, all formulated with skin-loving actives, not harsh chemicals.

💌 Bonus: I have exclusive codes for all the brands featured in this post, so you can shop them easily! DM me.

Take care of your skin inside and out, your glow is worth it. ✨
