π²Wilderness is a necessityπ²
πΏLet Nature be your therapist πΏ
Are you stressed with life and the fast paced world we live in today? Do you suffer from dis-ease? Shinrin-yoku is a term that means "taking in the forest atmosphere" or "forest bathing." π²π
The idea is simple: if a person simply visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way there are calming, rejuvenating and restorative benefits to be achieved. We have always known this intuitively. Many trees give off organic compounds that support our βNKβ (natural killer) cells that are part of our immune system's way of fighting cancer. π³πΏ
The scientifically-proven benefits of Forest Bathing include:
β’ Boosted immune system functioning, with an increase in the count of the body's Natural Killer (NK) cells.
β’ Reduced blood pressure
β’ Reduced stress
β’ Improved mood π
β’ Increased ability to focus.
β’ Accelerated recovery from surgery or illness
β’ Increased energy level
β’ Improved sleep
Just as impressive are the results that we are experiencing as we make this part of our regular practice:
β’ Deeper and clearer intuition
β’ Increased flow of energy
β’ Increased capacity to communicate with the land and its species
β’ Increased flow of eros/life force
β’ Deepening of friendships
β’ Overall increase in sense of happiness
Opening our senses to nature also develops our intuition. We learn to contact in new ways the world around us. Our Forest Bathing Journeys can vary between 3-5 hours. Phones are to be switched off and in silent mode. Immersing ourselves in the beautiful energy of Mother Nature. Connecting to the earth, π the trees, π² the water, π§the birds, π¦
animals π¦ and insects π. We will always start with a silent mindfulness walk. It may include Qigong, Sound Healing, Meditation, Gratitude journaling, Tree hugging π² π€ , listening to the music of the plants π± π΅ or you can just BE and have a nap. Itβs time to slow down and nurture yourself in Nature. When participating in this event you are responsible for your own safety. You will be asked to sign a waiver before the journey. We look forward to seeing you in the Forest.
