Bloating doesn't only happen in the body. Your face can hold fluid too.

Facial lymphatic drainage works on the same principles as body lymphatic massage but is adapted specifically for the delicate vessels and nodes of the face, jaw and neck.
It's something we offer in clinic, incorporated into a session where beneficial.

What it can help with:
✔️ Puffiness and fluid retention through the cheeks and jaw
✔️ Under eye heaviness
✔️ Post-treatment swelling after cosmetic procedures
✔️ Skin congestion and dullness
✔️ Tension through the jaw and neck

Between appointments, tools like gua sha and facial rollers can be a great way to maintain drainage at home. When used correctly, with light upward and outward strokes followed by downward movement through the neck, they encourage fluid to keep moving between sessions.

The key word is correctly. Direction and pressure matter here just as much as they do in clinic.

If you'd like guidance on how to use these tools effectively, ask us at your next appointment.

Heavy, achy legs at the end of the day aren't something you just have to accept.

Fluid pools in the lower limbs because gravity works against circulation, particularly when we're sitting for long periods, in warm weather, or during hormonal shifts. The lymphatic vessels in the legs are responsible for clearing that fluid, but they need movement and the right conditions to do it effectively.

Lymphatic massage for the legs works by stimulating drainage from the feet and lower legs upward through the lymphatic pathways. The result is often an immediate sense of lightness and reduced pressure, with improvements in visible swelling and skin texture over a course of sessions.

It's particularly relevant for clients managing lipoedema, lymphoedema, post-surgical swelling, or those who simply struggle with heaviness and fluid retention through the lower body.

Heavy legs are common. They're not always normal. Get in touch to find out how we can help 💗

This is where we spend our Mondays and Wednesdays. 💗

We've put a lot of thought into making this space feel calm and considered. The clients who come to us here are often navigating surgery recovery, ongoing health management or simply a body that hasn't felt right for a while. The environment matters.

If you've been thinking about booking, this is what you're walking into. Quiet, professional and genuinely restorative.

Lymphatic massage has had a lot of attention lately, and that's mostly a good thing. But it also means more people are offering it without the clinical background to do it safely.

The lymphatic system is delicate. Incorrect technique doesn't just mean a less effective session, it can actively work against your body's drainage.

Mel has spent 25 years working clinically with post-surgical clients, lipoedema management and complex women's health cases. If you're trusting someone with your recovery or your health, it's worth knowing who you're seeing and why.

If your digestion isn't regular, your body is holding onto more than it should.

Waste, fluid and toxins that haven't cleared put pressure on surrounding systems including your lymphatic network.
Bloating, sluggishness and abdominal discomfort are often signs that things aren't moving the way they should be.

A few things that support regularity:
1️⃣ Hydration. Most people are chronically under-hydrated. The bowel needs water to function. Two litres a day is a starting point, not a ceiling.
2️⃣ Fibre. Not just supplemented fibre but vegetables, legumes and whole foods that feed gut motility naturally.
3️⃣ Movement. Even a 20 minute walk stimulates peristalsis and encourages lymphatic flow through the abdominal region.
4️⃣ Stress management. The gut is directly affected by the nervous system. Chronic stress slows digestion.
5️⃣ Lymphatic massage. Working through the abdomen encourages fluid movement and can ease the pressure and discomfort that comes with sluggish digestion. Many of our clients notice a meaningful difference in regularity over a course of sessions.

If this resonates, let's talk through what may help.

Pregnancy massage isn't simply regular massage adapted for a bump. The approach, positioning, pressure and intention are all different.

During pregnancy, the body is managing significant circulatory and hormonal changes. Blood volume increases, the lymphatic system is under more demand, and fluid retention becomes a common and often uncomfortable reality, especially in the legs, ankles and hands.

The goals of pregnancy massage are to ease muscular discomfort, improve circulation, reduce fluid build-up and support the nervous system through what is physically a very demanding time.

Positioning is carefully considered throughout. We work with the body's changes at each stage of pregnancy rather than against them.

If you're experiencing heavy legs, swelling, back discomfort or general tension during pregnancy, get in touch to find out how we may be able to help.
