Thank you to every client this year who has shared their story. Words can be hard to find. It is a heartfelt privilege that I don’t take lightly. I am infinitely greatful our paths crossed.

Thank you to every therapist that follows along & puts out healing content / compassionate ripple effects into the world.

I am greatful to still be volunteering at our national helpline that had almost been closed earlier this year.

I am greatful to be a small part of the grief & loss space. A space that deserves all the support it can get.

Sending compassion to you all, going into a new year when your world looks different is beyond hard.?
While others are sharing their achievements or goals, take a moment to be proud of yourself too. Taking a walk, a shower, reaching out for coffee with a friend is a monumental achievement/ goal while grieving. Be gentle as you move with Grief. 🌸

To my little sister on her birthday.
Eternally 32.
Eternally love & miss you.

Leaning into the everlasting loving connection we share today. The memories. Rituals. Self care. Sharing of grief. Doing today my way. Practicing what I preach.

If you are grieving a deep loss, I see you. I see you from a place that study books, 📚 peak registration bodies & certificates can’t. I have those, they matter but they cannot teach you grief from a heart led soul place. From a place of first hand experience.

Be gentle to yourselves 🌸

It’s understandable if your feelings aren’t matching the festive vibes of others.

It’s understandable for you to reassess expectations (or drop them altogether).

It’s understandable for you to prioritise self care (that looks different for everyone, could be anything from a walk, to a pamper, to setting boundaries- whatever you need to do for you !)

It’s understandable to have a multitude of feelings that seem as tangled as the Christmas lights that have been pulled out of the box. Remember, it’s normal for feelings to co exist- joy and sadness can be felt at the same time.

It’s understandable if you want to lean into old hobbies/activities or create new ones altogether.

It’s understandable if you want to go & connect (after all, you are human and wired for it!) with others that you feel safe around - or - choose rest (also an essential human need).

There is no RIGHT or WRONG way to do grief.
Significant dates such as Christmas are hard.
My hope for anyone grieving a loss right now is that you move with grief gently.

Loving kindness to you all 🌸🌸🌸

Today is International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day and have put together something beautiful and much needed to honour the bereaved with the S.H.A.R.E challenge.
We (my son & puppy) walked the 3.2klms this morning to honour the approximately 3200 lives lost to su***de each year.

This is a disenfranchised grief and one that I know to the depths of my soul, having lost my younger sister to su***de five years ago. It is a loss where it’s hard to find words. Being in later grief I can say that now I am at a point where I wear my grief scars proudly, as I do the stretch marks from my pregnancies. They aren’t something to hide, after all, they are proof deep love lives here. Sending love to all who are bereaved by su***de. I see you. 🌸🩷

Let’s keep striving to reduce the stigma & shame around this loss. Let’s keep having conversations and surrounding ourselves & others with compassion.

Beautiful words 🌸🩷
Healing, not healed.
Your loss happened. It’s as real as the love it’s linked to, a love that’s carried through every chapter 🩷

When faced with loss, grievers often mention that through life's daily tasks they can sometimes find pockets of distraction from how they are feeling. Bedtime comes and that can be a different story.
