- Supporting members in areas such as employment, study, housing, and personal goals.

- Partnering with members on work focused opportunities within and external to Gold Coast Clubhouse.

- Staying in touch through phone calls, visits, and emails to maintain connection and fostering belonging.

Corey Ham is our Clinical Nurse Consultant for Su***de Risk Assessment and Management.

We're shining a light on mental health as part of Men's Health Week - a topic we need to talk about more.

"Men account for approximately 75% of people who die by su***de each year," Corey said.

"The predominant age group is 40 to 55 years old because that's when there tends to be more relationship breakdowns, financial stresses, injuries over time."

Corey said the best thing we can all to do emotionally support the males in our lives is be there for them.

"Put the offer on the table to talk," he said.

"Gold Coast Health is looking at how we, as a community, can create opportunities for men to connect and belong to groups. As men get older they tend to socially isolate themselves a bit more, and we want to change that."

Gratitude is so powerful. ✨

Even in difficult times, finding one small thing to be thankful for can make a big difference to our day.

Today, we are super grateful to the lovely person who gifted our community a $200 anonymous donation for a new garden bed at Clubhouse.

Take a moment today to reflect:
👉 What are you grateful for right now?

Drop it in the comments and let’s lift together. 🌻
