Over the past few months, we have been working to enhance the Education & Employment unit. Are you interested in acquiring new skills and boosting your confidence to contemplate employment opportunities? If so, please contact Clubhouse to participate. We’ve learned so much, not just about mental health and community based work, but about the power of connection, collaboration, and belonging. Every conversation, shared laugh, and new experience has shaped us in ways we’ll carry forward long after this placement ends.

We’re beyond grateful to everyone who has shared their time, stories, and energy with us. GC Clubhouse is such a special place, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things still to coming. Thank you to everyone we have met you will always have a place in our hearts and a spot in our minds as we continue our OT journey.

Queensland Mental Health Week is off to great start following Gold Coast Clubhouse’s community BBQ! Mental Health Week offers a chance for us to stop and think about the little things we can all do each and every day to support our connection to community and to our own mental health and wellbeing.

We loved having the OT students from Griffith over the past 11 weeks so enjoy their blog and see the day through their eyes. We cant wait to see what they do next!

We came together to celebrate Mental Health Week and the power of connection and what a turnout it was!
There was a true sense of community as we met new faces and sold lots of sausages. Our local artist Jay and some of his friends set the vibe with live and amazing music.
We raised $130 over the course of 3 hours with a personal donation from one of our members Jay (with all proceeds going to support the Clubhouse!).
It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to support mental health awareness, learn more about what we do, and share in the joy of connection.
