"You've got nine lives"...also commonly known as "cat has 9 lives"-.comes from belief cats have 9 lives cause they escape harm after risky falls/close calls.

Meaning:
Person who keeps surviving accidents, danger or very difficult situations when most people would not. Someone remarkably lucky or resilient to avoid serious harm more than once.
Person who may recover when others expect them to fail-yet they make it.

Real Life Example:
I remember one night, Im 15yrs old -about to watch a movie when the phone rang. My brother had been in a serious car accident and rolled the car 2½ times.
My heart panicked. My mind raced with awful images the whole drive to the scene.

Seeing the car upside-down, the roof crushed down to the door frame -my heart sank. It appeared the drivers side car frame was moulded in a cocoon-shape. This gave me hope.

Seeing police talk to witnesses with red/blue flashing lights glmade the scene eerie.
Police walked towards my parents. I was about to ask where my brother was when I heard him laughing. Here he was joking with work mates pointing at the crumpled car -not a care in the world.
Later I heard police tell my parents and brother how lucky he was as other similar accidents didnt always have survivors.
My brothers best friend jokingly said "Yeah, hes got nine lives".

I believe "you've got nine lives' can also be when we keep making it through situations/life when the odds are against us.
Some people just keep rising -this is not because life has been easy, but because they have faced moments that could have broken them, yet somehow, they are still here.
Its the quiet resilience. Recovery that no one fully sees. Its strength that has been built powerfully in deep places that most others never have to worry about -its our courage, grit, and refusal to give up when the odds say otherwise.

For many in our community, this isnt just an expression -its lived experience.
We have so many different challenges, different path -but the same powerful truth:We can endure more than people expect.
So if you're still here, surviving, existing, still persisting after everything you've faced...that isnt luck -its strength!

Keep Shining

"You've got nine lives"....this is also commonly known as "a cat has nine lives". It comes from the belief that cats have nine lives because they often escape harm after risky falls or close calls.

Meaning:
A person who keep surviving accidents, danger or very difficult situations when most people would not. That a person is remarkably lucky or resilient and that they have avoided serious harm more than once.
The idiom expression can also mean that another person may recover when others expect them to fail - they made it through.
Quite often this idIom is said about someone with an expression of amazement or relief or sometimes humour

Real Life Example:
I remember when I was 15yrs old, one night I was just settling into my comfy lounge to watch an evening movie when the phone rang...my brother had been in a serious car accident and had rolled the car 2½ times.

My heart was racing with worry and panic and my mind had so many awful images running through it the whole way we drove to the scene.

Seeing the upside-down car with the roof crushed down to the door frame I had no idea what to expect. It appeared though that the drivers side car frame was moulded into a cocoon-shape which gave us a little bit of hope.

Seeing the police talking to those who had witnessed the crash whilst having the red/blue stobbing lights flash gave an eeriness to the whole scene.
A police officer walked towards us to talk to my parents and I was just about to ask where my brother was when I heard him laughing loudly. Here he was joking with a bunch of work friends pointing at the crumpled car....not a care in the world.

Later I heard the police telling my parents and brother how lucky he was as they had been to so many accidents that looked similar and there were no survivors.
My brothers best friend jokingly said "Yeah, hes got nine lives".

To this day I believe he does have nine lives (as the saying goes) as this event was definitely not his first or the last lucky escape that he survived.

Other Life Examples could be....
☆ After three major surgeries, my friend is still going strong...he has nine lives.
☆ Everyday she is determined to get up out of bed regardless of the chronic pain and pushes through when others would give up.
☆ A few months after he lost an arm during a work accident, my workmate was determined to make a difference and inspire others. So he started to play and coach a basketball team with the help of an attached prosthetic.

I believe "you've got nine lives' can also be when we keep making it through situations and life when the odds are against us.

Some people just keep rising....this is not because life has been easy for them, but because they have faced moments that could have broken them, and somehow, they are still here.

It is the quiet resilience. The recovery that no one fully sees. It is the strength that has been built powerfully in deep places that most people never have to go.

We often say this phrase with a smile or sometimes a bit of wonder - but behind it is something deeper...courage, grit, and a refusal to give up when the odds say otherwise.

And for many in our community, this is not just an expression - it is from lived experience.
We have so many different challenges, different path....but the same powerful truth: We can endure more than people expect.

So if you are still here, still surviving, still existing, still persisting after everything you have faced....that is not luck. That is strength!!

Keep Shining Bright....in your own way.

“Make mistakes. You’re human, not a robot.”

Somewhere along my life's journey, I started to treat my mistakes as failures....instead of making them moments that I could learn from.

I realised that mistakes are not life sentences, they are a lesson, a turning point, a moment for me to pause and analyse the situation. A chance for me to extract and gain feedback for myself on what to avoid or how to do things differently next time.

But for so long I would wear my "mistakes" like a label around my neck. I would replay my mistake over-and-over in my mind & found that I would shrink back because of it - I even started to let my mistakes define me
Has anyone else felt this way? Walked down that road of blame & feeling of failure.

Well...what if we started to see things differently?
What if our mistakes did not disqualify us, instead they revealed where grace is needed. Where we could start to work on bettering ourselves and being the "best" person we can be.
Mistakes show us where we are trying, stretching and growing.

We need to allow ourselves to learn and grow without feeling shame. We are allowed to move forward without baggage, without having to carry the heavy weight of who we used to be.

And when we stop and look at it - the truth is....it is SO much better to be human!!
Because as humans we feel. We love deeply. We connect with others genuinely.

We are authentically ourselves, not a copy, but an original ✨️
As humans we have the capacity to care in such a unique way that no system or machine ever could.

We experience our emotions in full....joy, heartbreak, growth, inspiration and with meaning - and yes of course, mistakes are part of being human.

Without making mistakes, we would not experience empathy or gain perspective.
Without a struggle, we would not experience depth or perseverance.
Without our imperfections, we would not find real, authentic connection.

Because mistakes are where grace is practised and actioned...and not just spoken about.

We need to give ourself grace for our human moments.

Grace is not about getting it "right" all the time...it is about how we respond when we dont.

Shine Bright....keep impacting your world.

Good support is not about doing everything for someone.

It is about empowering people to become more independent, more confident and feel more in control of their own lives.

Having clear information, routines, reminders and communication tools can help individuals become more involved in their own supports and daily routines.

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽 helps create structure, organisation and communication which can support independence and confidence over time.

Because independence looks different for everyone, but everyone deserves the opportunity to grow in confidence and ability.

And to have helpful, support people and systems in place, make it a whole lot easier

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁… keep impacting your world.

This is such a powerful reminder for life, especially when working with children, families and individuals who all learn and grow in different ways.

𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
Everyone has different strengths, different abilities, different ways of learning and different ways of seeing the world.

Just because someone cannot do something one way does not mean they are not capable. It may simply mean they need a different way, a different environment, or a different kind of support to shine.

A fish would never be good at climbing a tree.
But put that same fish in water and it will swim beautifully.

People are never exactly the same.

Some people are amazing at maths.
Some are incredible artists.
Some are kind, caring and amazing friends.
Some are great problem solvers.
Some are brilliant with technology.
Some have incredible memories.
Some think in ways that change the world.

But if we only measure everyone the same way, we will miss their magic, their true gifts and their strengths.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀:
✨ A child who struggles to sit still in a classroom might be incredible at sport, building things, or creative thinking.
✨ A person who finds communication difficult might be amazing with computers, music, art or patterns.
✨ A child who struggles with reading might be the most caring friend in the room.
✨ Someone who needs extra support with organisation might be incredibly funny, creative and full of ideas.

💙 Success does not look the same for everyone.
💜 Learning does not look the same for everyone.
🩷 Progress does not look the same for everyone.

That is what makes people unique.

Instead of asking “Why can’t they do this?”
Maybe we should ask, “what are they amazing at?”
“How do they learn best?” Or “what support do they need to shine?”

Because when we stop judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree and instead let it swim, that is when confidence grows, strengths shine, and people truly begin to believe in themselves.

Everyone deserves the chance to shine in their own way.

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁… keep impacting your world.

Sometimes we completely underestimate how powerful small things can be.

A kind word of encouragement.

An unexpected gesture to help.
Someone who takes the time to really listen.
Someone who is patient instead of looking at the clock.
Someone who tries to understand instead of judgement or jumping to conclusions.
Someone who offers support instead of criticism.

These things might seem small to one person, but to another person, they can carry the power to change everything.

For many families, children and individuals navigating the NDIS, school, therapies, appointments and everyday life, what they often need most is not complicated systems or big promises.

We need people who care – genuinely care.
✨️People who listen.
✨️People who are organised.
✨️People who communicate.
✨️People who work together.
✨️People who show kindness.

Support is not just about services.
♥️ It is about people.
🧡 It is about teamwork.
💛 It is about making life a little easier, a little calmer, and a little more organised so people can focus on what really matters.

When people feel supported, they grow in confidence and feel empowered
When people feel understood, they feel safe, loved and seen.
When people are treated with kindness, they begin to believe in themselves.

And this is when lives begin to change....when the magic happens.

Never underestimate the power of support, understanding and kindness.
It really can change a person’s whole world.

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁… keep impacting your world.

Sometimes it is not the big, overwhelming changes that make the biggest difference.

It is the small ones.

The little things that make your day run a bit smoother.
The simple changes that reduce stress just that little bit.
The small systems that help life feel more organised and more in control.

When you are navigating something like the NDIS, it is often the everyday things that matter most.

Remembering appointments.
Keeping track of reports and documents.
Being able to quickly find information when you need it.
Making sure your support team, therapists, teachers and family are all on the same page.

These might seem like small things, but they make a very big difference in everyday life.

This is exactly why the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽 was created.
• To bring everything into one place.
• To make communication easier.
• To keep important information organised.
• To help everyone involved work together and support each person in the best possible way.

Because when things are organised and communication is clear, everything starts to feel a little easier.

♥️ Less overwhelm.
🧡 More clarity.
💛 More confidence.
💚 More time and energy for your family, your goals, and the things that really matter.

Support should not feel confusing or complicated.
Support should feel organised, connected and lighter.

Small changes really can make a big impact.

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁… keep impacting your world.

Easter has a beautiful way of slowing things down…

Just enough for us to notice what really matters....people....moments....the way we are feeling beneath it all.

“Turn over a new leaf” is not about becoming someone new. It is about choosing to act differently moving forward. Committing to personal growth or improvement.

𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
A fresh start does not have to be loud or life changing. Sometimes it is a quiet decision to choose yourself a little more.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 l𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀:
• Deciding to be more present with your family, even in the small moments
• Giving yourself permission to slow down and rest
• Letting go of the pressure to have everything figured out
• Speaking to yourself with more kindness and less criticism
• Choosing what feels right for you, instead of what you think you should do
• Beginning again after a hard season, with a little more compassion

Choosing to leave behind negativity, resentment, or harmful choices.

You do not need a perfect plan.

You do not need to have it all sorted.

You just need a moment…to pause, reset, and gently begin again.

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁… keep impacting your world.
