I haven’t tracked my food in a long time… and honestly, that’s the goal.

Tracking is an incredibly helpful tool, but the real skill is learning how to build meals that support your body without needing to rely on numbers forever. Tracking should be for a specific goal or to learn then you should be practicing the skill of intuitive eating.

For me, it’s about keeping things simple when I'm eating intuitively. Every meal is built around a quality source of protein, then I add in a variety of plants for fibre and nutrients, some healthy fats in the right amounts, and carbohydrates where they’re needed (especially around training). If I can, I’ll also include fermented foods for gut health.

From there, it’s about making food taste good by using herbs, spices, dressings, vinegar, and good quality ingredients so meals feel satisfying, not restrictive. When your food is enjoyable and balanced, cravings naturally decrease and your energy becomes more stable throughout the day.

I also focus on spacing my meals out, which supports digestion and helps me show up feeling my best, both physically and mentally.

On the weekend, I had the opportunity to facilitate a morning of breathwork, body connection, guided meditation and an ice bath for a group of high-performing business owners. It was a chance for them to step out of the constant thinking, planning and problem-solving, and instead create space to slow down, regulate their nervous system and actually integrate everything they had just experienced.

Because no matter how much you learn, if your body isn’t on board, it’s very hard for that information to truly land and create lasting change.

We spoke about the idea of “manifesting,” which can often be labelled as a bit woo woo, but when you strip it back it’s actually very practical. At its core, it’s simply a thought paired with an emotion, followed by aligned action. The truth is, we are all manifesting every single day through our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, whether we realise it or not. The real shift comes when we begin to do this on purpose.

Creating intentional moments to pause, connect to your breath and body, and envision the version of yourself you’re working towards allows you to anchor into the emotions of that future self. From there, the next step becomes much clearer, and taking aligned action feels far more natural.

It was such a privilege to hold space for this group and to witness the willingness to slow down, reflect and connect in a deeper way.

MARCH: REGULATE & RISE 💫

This month inside the app we’re focusing on something that truly changes everything - regulation.

I see so many high-functioning women doing all the “right” things. Fish oil is one of the most researched supplements in the world and yet most women are either under-dosing it or not taking it at all. 👀

Let’s talk about why it actually matters.

Fish oil provides omega-3 fatty acids — primarily EPA and DHA.

These aren’t just “healthy fats”. They directly influence:

🧠 Brain + mood regulation – DHA is a structural component of brain tissue, and EPA has been shown to support mood and reduce symptoms of depression in some populations.

🔥 Inflammation control – EPA helps regulate inflammatory pathways by influencing eicosanoids and cytokines. This is huge for women dealing with PMS, painful periods, endometriosis, joint pain or high stress loads.

❤️ Cardiovascular health – Omega-3s can reduce triglycerides and support vascular function.

🧬 Cell membrane health – Every cell in your body contains DHA in its membrane. This impacts hormone signalling and nervous system communication.

Now here’s where people get confused 👇🏼

Some brands will catfish you with “1000mg high strength” on the front and seem like a fair price....

Then you turn it around and see you’re only getting
👉🏼 180mg EPA
👉🏼 120mg DHA

That’s just 300mg active omega-3 per capsule. Meaning you’d need multiple capsules to reach an effective dose. So what was a cheap option, suddenly means you're going through them like lollies.

You want a minimum of 1000mg COMBINED EPA + DHA per day for general health support (higher doses may be used therapeutically under practitioner guidance).

So when choosing a product:

✔️ Check the combined EPA + DHA amount (not just total fish oil)
✔️ Work out how many capsules you’d need daily
✔️ Balance cost vs how long the bottle actually lasts
✔️ Choose brands that molecularly distill / filter for heavy metals (ask your pharmacist or health food store if unsure)

And remember omega-3s work best when your foundations are in place: quality protein, fibre, sleep, light exposure and stress regulation.

Save this so you don’t get catfished in the supplement aisle again 🐟💙
