🧩 Our Week Seven theme for the season is Animals – Land Animals.

In Week Seven, children explore how animals move on land and how their bodies move in different ways. Through our soccer focus, children use running, chasing, and quick changes of direction to move like different animals.

With colours as our learning focus, children continue building recognition by running to coloured cones, chasing coloured targets, and reacting to colour cues during games.

Our younger children build confidence through playful animal movements like stomping, crawling, and fast “cheetah runs.” Our older children develop speed, coordination, and reaction time through short sprints, chase games, and quick direction changes while controlling the soccer ball.

By blending animal imagination, colour learning, and sport, this week develops agility, coordination, and listening skills while keeping sessions energetic, playful, and engaging.

🧩 Our Week Six theme for the season is Culture – Around the World.

In Week Six, children explore the idea that play connects us all. Through our soccer focus, they learn that children all around the world play the same game, building early cultural awareness in a simple and positive way.

With colours as our learning focus, children match cones to flags and images, strengthening colour recognition while making movement based decisions.

Our younger children build confidence through independent movement and simple kick and run choices. Our older children develop control and decision making through dribbling pathways, colour called goals, and listening for cues.

By blending culture, colour learning, and sport, this week supports coordination, listening, and inclusion, while keeping sessions active and engaging.

🧩 Our Week Five theme for the season is Aboriginal Culture.

In Week Five, we introduce children to Aboriginal culture in an age appropriate and respectful way, exploring connection to land, movement, storytelling, and community. This week encourages curiosity about Australia’s First Nations peoples and the rich traditions that have been passed down for generations.

Through active games and guided discussion, children may explore traditional style movement patterns, participate in cooperative group activities inspired by hunting and gathering, or engage in a simple Yarn Circle where we practise listening, sharing, and respecting each other’s voices. Movement experiences are designed to reflect connection to nature, such as travelling across different “terrains,” moving quietly and mindfully, or working together as a team.

We also explore the idea of caring for the land, helping children understand that the environment provides for us and that we have a responsibility to look after it. These conversations are simple, positive, and focused on respect, inclusion, and appreciation.

By blending culture, movement, and community, this week supports social awareness, listening skills, cooperation, and an understanding that Australia has a deep and meaningful history that continues today.

Building this awareness early encourages respect, curiosity, and connection, while keeping sessions engaging, active, and inclusive.

🧩 Our Week Four theme for the season is Nutrition.

In Week Four, we build on our nutrition learning by exploring where our food actually comes from. Children are introduced to simple ideas such as farms, gardens, oceans, and markets, helping them understand the journey food takes before it reaches their plate.

Through active games, imaginative play, and guided conversation, kids might move like farmers harvesting crops, grow “vegetables” in our play garden, or collect foods from land and sea. Linking movement with learning helps make these concepts concrete, memorable, and fun.

By connecting food origins with the healthy habits introduced in Week Three, children develop a greater appreciation for fresh foods and begin to understand that real food grows, is gathered, and is prepared before we eat it.

This week supports curiosity, gratitude, and awareness around everyday food choices, all while keeping sessions energetic and engaging.

Building this understanding early helps lay strong foundations for lifelong healthy habits and informed choices.

🧩 Our Week Three theme for the season is Nutrition.

In Week Three, we shift our focus to helping kids learn about food and how it helps their bodies grow, move, and feel good. Through playful movement, simple conversations, and hands on activities, kids are introduced to the idea that food gives us energy to run, jump, and play.

By linking nutrition concepts with movement and routine, children begin to understand everyday healthy choices in a way that feels fun, relatable, and age appropriate. This week supports positive habits, body awareness, and curiosity around food, all while keeping sessions active and engaging.

Building this understanding early helps set the foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

🧩 Our Week Two theme for the season is Routine.

In Week Two, we continue building on the routines introduced in our first session. Repetition and consistency help kids feel safe, settled, and confident, allowing them to engage more fully in each activity. By reinforcing familiar movements, cues, and session structure, children begin to anticipate what’s coming next and participate with greater independence and enjoyment.

Strong routines set the foundation for learning, movement, and fun across the rest of the season.
