Dr Siri Mature aged mother of one, raised in the safety of a small mountain village in Norway. Many good, but also many not so good.

Embodies the Scandinavian ethos of balance, simplicity, and resilience, encouraging individuals to embrace challenges and grow strongerβ€”physically, mentally, and socially. Started to travel around Europe at 19 years old enquiring many life skills. Now as an Allied Health Professional (Exercise Physiologist) with a PhD in Sports Science, I'm passionate about supporting and teaching you how to develop and use your physical strength and courage to increase your independence, improve your health, wellbeing and safety in everyday life. I also have a personal and professional interest in Martial Arts. As a health professional (Exercise Physiologist), I draw upon the principles of Martial Arts as part of a holistic program to increase your independence, health, wellbeing and safety.

Something Powerful Is About to Begin

Coming soon: a project where martial arts meets fall prevention. Where courage is trained one safe fall at a time.

In just a few weeks, we launch Fall for Life, a research-backed program designed to teach older veterans how to fall with control, drawing from Ukemi, the martial art of falling safely. Ethical approval number: 2024/142

In collaboration with Southern Cross University and the Veterans Health Association, this 5-week feasibility study adapts traditional martial arts techniques into a practical, empowering intervention for older adults.

But this is more than just fall prevention.
It’s about restoring confidence, control, and connection, the things we often lose with age, and the very things we can reclaim through intentional movement.

Courage. Skill. Safety. Reconnection.
That’s the spirit behind every project I do, and Fall for Life is no exception.
