Mrs. Adriana had the pleasure of presenting to her two local libraries Burleigh Heads and Burleigh Waters for the yearly Speechie Library Talks with GClibraries and Speech Pathology Australia . It was a HUGE success!

Why was it so special?โ€จBecause learning happens best when weโ€™re connected with our little ones! Mrs Adriana brought her warmth, passion and expertise, creating a welcoming space where parents felt confident, kids felt engaged, and everyone walked away with practical strategies they can start using today.

๐Ÿ’ฌ From reading the Book of the Year Award Winner Cheeky Monster, to providing early language tips for babies, to key word sign and language ideas during everyday activities - the room was filled with lightbulb moments, giggles, and โ€œI can do this!โ€ energy.

๐Ÿค A massive thank you to our wonderful families who joined us, and to GC Libraries once again for hosting such a meaningful community event.โ€จTogether, weโ€™re building strong foundations for communication, connection and confidence.
Already excited for next year! โœจโ€จ

Spend a day with me, two months postpartum, juggling life and running a small business. ๐Ÿค

Iโ€™m so grateful for the incredible family support around me that makes days like this even possible. And to my beautiful team โ€” thank you for holding everything together with so much kindness and patience.

Not every day looks like thisโ€ฆ some days Iโ€™m unshowered and still in pyjamas at 2pm ๐Ÿ˜… so today was a pretty good day.

Feeling excited to ease back into things and officially return in 2026 โœจ

October is ADHD Awareness Month โœจ

Did you know ADHD often looks very different in boys and girls?
๐Ÿ’™ In boys, ADHD may show up as hyperactivity, impulsivity, or interrupting.
๐Ÿ’œ In girls, ADHD can appear as daydreaming, anxiety, or low self-esteem.

Because of these differences, many girls are overlooked or diagnosed later in life. Awareness helps us recognise the unique ways ADHD shows up and provide the right support.

Every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and celebrated ๐Ÿ’›

Follow-up from Mondayโ€™s post! โœจ
We talked about how every smile, coo, and back-and-forth lays the foundations for talking

But what actually counts as talking once those little sounds start to grow?
Itโ€™s not just clear words like โ€œmumโ€ or โ€œdadโ€ - babies and toddlers have so many clever ways to communicate ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ฌ

From animal sounds and exclamations, to signs and even consistent โ€œmade-up words,โ€ every sound and attempt matters. Itโ€™s all communication, and itโ€™s all a step towards talking ๐Ÿ’•
