🌱 Workwise Program – Building Skills, Confidence & Independence 🌱

At Carewise Group, all of our Supported Independent Living participants get guaranteed employment through our Workwise Program.

Through Workwise, we teach our young men practical landscaping skills such as lawn mowing, weeding, whipper snipping, and more. They earn an industry-standard wage while building valuable employability skills, learning to work as a team, and practising social skills alongside their work colleagues.

It’s more than just a job – it’s a pathway to confidence, independence, and future opportunities.

Carewise Group has just opened a brand new Supported Independent Living home in Pimpama, and we currently have vacancies available! 🏡

✅ No current tenants – fresh start
✅ Support team already in place and ready to go
✅ Located in a quiet, well-connected neighbourhood

👥 We specialise in supporting young men aged 18–40, particularly those who would benefit from consistent, positive male mentors.

Our unique 7 days on / 7 days off roster model provides:
🔸 Continuity of care
🔸 Opportunities to build real trust and connection
🔸 Strong relationships with workers who act more like mentors than carers

Participants will also have access to our Workwise program, where they can:
🌱 Learn landscaping and gardening
💰 Get paid for their work
📈 Build real-life employment skills

Get ready for an epic camping adventure! We’re heading to Fingal Head on Wednesday, March 19th for a trip packed with bonfires, BBQ, fishing, and games! We can't wait!

Last Thursday, our young men hit the lanes for a fantastic bowling night! It was a great evening full of laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of strikes!

Continuing our series of FAQs around Individualised Living Options (ILO)!

Q: How does an ILO Host arrangement work?

A: A host arrangement is one type of ILO living setup. In this arrangement, a Host provides a room or, in some cases, a granny flat for an ILO participant, offering them a safe and comfortable place to live. Because each participant is unique, every Host arrangement is tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of the individual. The host may also provide direct support, assisting the participant at various times throughout the day with tasks such as meals, medication, house cleaning, and daily living needs.

🌟 Participant Highlight: Mikey! 🌟

We just want to take a moment to recognize Mikey, who brings so much positivity and kindness to our team. Not only is he an incredible friend, but he's also always cheering on and supporting the other boys.

On our recent camping trip, when one of the guys found himself with wet shoes, Mikey didn’t hesitate to offer up his own. That’s the kind of heart Mikey has — always ready to lend a hand (or a pair of shoes!) when someone’s in need.

Thank you, Mikey, for being such a bright light in our community. We love having you on the team and appreciate all the kindness and good vibes you share. Keep being you! 👏
