In 2005, the Head of the Herd (Craig Jones) noticed that his mother was using a white paste, intended for use on cows, to help with her Psoriasis. The cream was formulated to help keep the skin on cow’s udders in good condition for milking. Cow’s udders need to be kept soft and supple, not dry and cracked. No one likes an angry cow with sore or cracked udders when it comes time to attach those milking cups. Although it seemed to be working well, the cream was thick and hard to apply. Since his mum didn’t particularly like being lathered in a thick cream made for cows, he took on the task of reformulating it and made up a lighter, non-greasy version. The word “udder” was a bit crass for an old-fashioned “lady” so they referred to it as “MooGoo” (goo for the cows) and the name stuck. Starting a skin care company wasn’t the initial idea, but friends and family kept asking for more of it, and eventually, Craig went into business. Since then MooGoo has grown to over 40 products to help with lots of different skin and scalp problems and sold throughout the world. From dealing with irritable skin and itchy scalps to natural sun care products and a baby range for the little ones. And most recently, a natural dental range. MooGoo’s ingredient philosophy has always remained the same: To make effective products using healthy ingredients, that we are comfortable using on ourselves and our loved ones. Craig continues to be very involved in the business, focusing mostly on formulation and product development.

Fresh, natural, and stink-free! 😀 Our Fresh Cream Deodorant lets your sweat do its thing (yep, sweat is odourless) while kicking odour-causing bacteria to the curb.
No bacteria = no smell...simple!
Now the real question… which scent has your heart (and pits)? 💛
It looks like people have caught on to household cleaning with Potassium Hydroxide and water...and for good reason. It’s simple, environmentally friendly, and extremely cost-effective.
For example, you can grab 1kg of concentrate for around $13. At just 0.5% dilution, that makes up to 200 litres of cleaner, working out to only about 6.5 cents per litre. Pretty hard to beat!
⚠️ A quick safety note: Wear protective glasses, and when mixing, always add the base to the water, not the other way around. (As the saying goes: “Do as you oughta, add the base to the water”) A teaspoon stirred in carefully is all you need. And yes, you can also buy it pre-mixed, but it usually costs more.
Why it works so well? The strong alkalinity cuts through grease with ease. The flip side is that the high pH can be harsh, especially on sensitive skin or if you’re prone to dermatitis. Too strong a mix can also damage surfaces like benchtops. But at low concentrations, it’s effective, safe, and now even popping up in supermarket cleaning aisles.
Cleaning hacks aren’t usually our thing, but we love seeing a simple home remedy earn its place in the spotlight!

You may have noticed that some of your favourites (like our Moothpaste, Natsorb, Dry Shampoo and a few others) have been running out of stock lately.
While it’s a wonderful problem to have, and we’re so thankful for customers who do their research and choose to support a locally-made Aussie brand, we know how frustrating it is when the product you love isn’t there when you need it.
We promise it’s not because we’re slacking off. Our team has been working harder than ever! The real challenge is that our equipment is simply too small. We’ve already invested in larger equipment, but as with all upgrades, there are teething issues...
For example, we recently switched our Moothpaste tubes to a new blue design. Sounds simple enough, right? Except now the sealer overheats the tubes and leaves them looking burnt...definitely not MooGoo standard. So, that’s been one of the hiccups holding things up.
The good news? We’re hopeful that by the end of the year, these supply issues will be smoothed out. And while all this has been going on, we’ve also been quietly cooking up some exciting new products we can’t wait to share! Just as soon as we have the space to make them.
From all of us here at MooGoo, thank you for your patience, loyalty, and for supporting a small Australian family business. We’re so lucky to have customers like you in our herd 💙

The “dupe” industry seems to have exploded lately. Thanks to AI, it’s now easier than ever to copy someone’s website and branding, whip up a similar-looking (and smelling) product in one of the many overseas “dupe factories,” and sell it cheap to make a quick buck.
As far as we know, MooGoo hasn’t been duped yet and we think there are two reasons for that...
First, we’re not an overpriced celebrity brand, which seem to be the main targets.
Secondly, we think it’d be hard to make a cheaper version of what we do. Why? Because considering the quality of ingredients and concentrations we use, we have never been overpriced.
Take our Amplified Peptide Serum or Slow-Release Encapsulated Retinol, for example. What we sell for $39, we often see others charging $129, and in our opinion, our delivery system outperforms theirs. We’ve always priced our products based on the cost of the ingredients, not what we could charge by calling it a “luxury” product.
We also formulate and make our products ourselves, right here, rather than using “stock formulas” made by someone else.
