not all the progress is done in the gym 🫶🏼

progress is also made when you put yourself in the right environment & around the people who want to see you win (hallelujah)

progress is made when you stop consuming anything that de-values your life & your potential (hallelujah)

progress is made when you look after your mental health the same way you do your body (hallelujah)

progress is made when you learn that movement outside of the gym is just as important as movement in the gym (hallelujah)

Really doing my best to SLOW down on the weekends & reset, I think we did that this week 🫶🏼

Waiting until you’re ‘ready’ will never make you ready…

No one feels motivated this time of year, we’re 4 months in, the appeal of ‘new year, new me’ has worn off & the standard you’re allowing yourself to accept has you telling your self ‘maybe next year’

So you’ve had a few social events pop up, the weather is changing & it’s getting cooler, you have had a few disruptions to your normal routine so now is the perfect time to throw in the towel?

Girl let’s change that narrative asap

The girls that want to stay in shape & work towards their goals act anyway, regardless of their social calendar, the weather or routine interruptions.
They made a promise to themselves, just like you have.
So let’s not break the promise.

No journey is going to be smooth sailing or easy, but you do have to go at it head own & push through the hard things.

So instead of focussing on having everything go to plan all the time, focus on the bare minimum & build from there…

Think of it as you ‘minimum standard’ check list…
i.e “train 3x a week, prioritise protein in each meal, 2L of water daily” or “intentional movement 3x a week, 3 main meals a day, no phone 1 hour before”

Whatever it is, make it simple, intentional & most of all achievable.

This is exactly what I teach my girls through coaching with me, we start small with achievable goals & habits & build from there, any detours or roadblocks we reach we map out how to get through them & maintain a enjoyable process throughout all of this.

Come spend a random (not out of the ordinary) Saturday with me! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Weekends aren’t too special for me, pretty much the same rinse & repeat every week, just a tad slower & not always on a strict timeline!

Surprisingly still trying to figure out what balance looks like for me, I am a constant Go go go person & hate it when I am sitting still (work in progress)

One of my goals this year was to slow down & actually take care of me, which over the next few weeks I will explain more on this journey! I am embarking on something really big & scary this week, something that has taken me years to come to terms with & ask for help..

But this Saturday looked like a few AM clients, a gym excursion, carbs & more carbs, a run & a work block! 💗

CHANGE YOUR PRIORITIES 👀🤝

‘I don’t have time’
‘I don’t know what to eat’
‘I hate meal prep after 5 days’
‘It’s boring’

I could go on, but I’m gonna change the narrative for you, 1-2 hours out of your week can set you up for 3-5 days…

Next time you say ‘I don’t have time’, ask yourself:
How long have I scrolled on Tik Tok for or watched Netflix for this week?

Next time you say ‘I don’t know what to eat’, here’s 4 staple lunch or dinner ideas I have on repeat:
Search ‘easy meal prep ideas’ into tik tok next time you’re on there 👀

Next time you say ‘I hate meal prep after 5 days’, prep for 3 days? No one wants the meal prep I o & no one should want to waste food either.. so what suits your lifestyle & not what influencers tell you to do.

Next time you say ‘it’s boring’, include meals you enjoy? The internet is wide open for recipes & healthier takes on your fave dishes… use it to your advantage…

Now read that again and ask yourself if your priorities are in order or it’s easier for you to make excuses…

I’m going to hold your hand when I say this…

Training fasted.
Having coffee as your ‘breakfast’
Cutting out sugar.
Restricting yourself from what fuels your body for performance.

Isn’t the flex you think it is, it doesn’t make you more disciplined either.

It’s time for us to fuel for performance to become a STRONGER version of ourselves, to become ENERGISED & to feel GREAT 🤩

The approach & priorities I had towards my training in my early 20’s vs now (nearly 30) has done a 360 turn around (& for the better)

When I first started out in those younger days, I went all in, all or nothing mindset. Every spare minute was at the gym, going 6-7 times a week, thinking the more I do & the more I go, well the quicker I would achieve my dream body. It was a flex for me not to have a rest day & I felt like I failure if I missed a session or a day at the gym… cause rest isn’t productive apparently.

My goals were waaaaay more focused around how I looked & not how I genuinely felt, it did not bother or matter to me that I felt tired all the time, that my body felt like it couldn’t continue on, I believed no one respected you in the gym world if you didn’t look like you trained or didn’t look a particular way, let’s be honest- that’s some BS right there.

But we have learnt, educated ourselves & now training looks a whole lot different (& better mind you)

I train for performance, mental health & for a future version of me, she may not be the strongest, she may not look like a typical ‘gym girly’ & she may train less now, BUT..|

She is STRONG.
She is HEALTHY.
She is CONFIDENT in her skin.
She trains HARD.
She prioritises RECOVERY.
& yes….

I am nearly 30.
Do I feel it? No.

But I will continue to train for her in her 30’s, 40’s, 50’s & beyond, this will continue to change, but it will not stop.

Anyone else re-directed their training when navigating a new era? 👀🥺

that’s right.
the sustainable results you’re desperately chasing don’t come from changing everything all at once & creating a new lifestyle overnight 👀

it’s about your small daily changes that push you to be that little bit better than the day before.

so if this month you’re changing some of your habits from:

🍔 takeaway multiple times a week to once a week

💤 multiple alarms & late nights of doom scrolling to a dedicated bedtime & morning alarm

🍸 less alcohol on nights out

You’re making progress, it doesn’t need to be hard, it doesn’t need to be life changing straight away, but the 1%ers of positive change will change your life. 🤝

I get it, you’re busy too but you also have goals.

working a full-time job doesn’t mean your fitness goals have to disappear.

the biggest thing that i’ve learnt through my own journey & helping women through is not everyone uses their time the same, especially if working a full time job, it just means we have to plan out their goals a little more in depth to ensure they’re still looking after themselves.

my method is simple:

minimum 3 workouts a week.

- 2 strength sessions
- 1 cardio session

this is a sustainable achievable routine for most who live busy lives, depending on their training preferences, there may be a group class such as pilates or yoga in there.

you don’t need the perfect routine — you just need one you can stick to.
stop trying to do it all. no one can.

save this for next time you need this reminder 🫶🏼

My sole mission as a coach & a female personal trainer is to ensure that women understand the positive mental & physical effects of training…

For me, training is purely for my mental health, I was late to understanding this & in my teens wouldn’t have EVER thought I would be here doing this for myself but also other women, it is so empowering to share this vision & mission with likeminded girls, who have also had a similar journey or want to make a positive change..

Whilst aspects of my journey & also these girls journey are for the physical benefits, to share a room all together to put our struggles a side & have a positive experience with training is priceless to me.

On Saturday I took a risk & held my first ‘event’ and event where I could share a room with women all wanting to make a positive impact on themselves but also everyone else in that room, we stepped out of comfort zones, pushed one another, made new friends, did something new & ultimately walked away feeling empowered & stepping into a new era.

Thank you to everyone that made this day possible but also this career possible.
You’re making a version of me that I didn’t think would make it past 21 very proud & I will continue to build this mission 🫶🏼

Thanks to for guiding us through our breathwork & helping us understand the importance of this!! 🫶🏼

& thank you to .hq for allowing me to bring a vision to life!!!
