Meet Danni..

She took a leap & invested in herself & it paid off…

A busy mum of 3, a nurse & most importantly an absolute powerhouse in the gym..

We started working together in January this year, with a extensive background in training, a body building completion already under her belt, Danni felt like she didn’t have the routine or training intensity she once had & was after some guidance.

With her main goal to build some muscle & change her entire body composition, it is fair to say that she is now a completely different woman.

As a Nurse & Mum of 3, she was able to commit to a 4-5 day training split & has rarely missed a beat (I think I even had to tell her to take some time off when sick at one point 👀)

Every session she has pushed with some insane intensity wanted to do better than the week before, she is one of the hardest workers I have come across & never says no to anything I throw her way!

Throughout this course we have moved from a meal plan to tracking her own calories, which she has been able to incorporate family friendly meals as well!

Well done Danni, I am so proud of you & the woman you have become over the last few months!! Onwards & upwards from here!

Random day of eating 🏖️ Bali edition 🏖️

Whilst there are many different foods & cuisines to try when travelling, for someone still trying to enjoy themselves with food, I am still opting for some staples to keep it balanced!

Making sure I got for high protein options in main meals, still getting a fruit & veggie intake in & most of all enjoying foods for the soul!

No restriction, just balance!

Amy, where do I even begin?

Let me tell you about the 17 kg weight loss journey of long time client Amy!

She came to me in January wanted direction with her training & nutrition, she had a ambitious goal of 20kg weightless front of mind & didn’t have a strict deadline on when she would like to achieve this by in her mind- she knew she needed a change & she was willing to make any changes needed to set her on this journey… & boy what a journey it has been!

So what did we do to achieve this?
We stuck to a structure 4 day training split, because this is what was able to fit Amy’s lifestyle & what she was able to commit to!

We adhered to a calorie deficit, first under a meal plan, to which we then adapted to Amy being able to track her own calories & have enough nutritional literacy to make healthier choices! (proud 🥺)

Amy had a small cardio program to hit as well, this also helped with her overall endurance with training!

Whilst training hard & pushing her intensity each session, I have never had to push Amy to do anything she didn’t want to, she knew what her goal was & she stayed true to it!
We didn’t have to give up meals we enjoyed, we still enjoyed the odd meal out & a few drinks through this phase as well, I am so incredibly proud of how balanced we were able to be through this whole period! 

Whilst we are super close to our 20kg mark, it has been a pleasure to coach Amy through this journey so far & it inspires me every week to watch her smash it knowing she is so close to that ambitious goal of hers!!

Every single version of this girl in a bikini is the definition of a bikini body.

No matter what stage you are in, what you’re aiming for, your body is a bikini body.
There are times where I can think back to each of these versions of me & remember why I was or wasn’t confident in the bikini.

I’m skinny, this is what the definition of a bikini body is.
This is societies expectation.

I’m a body builder, i’m supposed to be confident in a bikini.
But I wasn’t, I was hungry, no energy, no libido, fatigued.

I’m in a build phase, I’m supposed to show confidence in posing in a bikini.
But I didn’t feel like a body builder anymore & I thought it was an expectation of me to stick to this sport now.

I’ve put on a few kilos. I had to go up 2 sizes in a bikini.
So be it- I’m happy, working hard, finally not living the body building mentality & finding what works for me.

Confidence doesn’t come overnight, it can’t be bought, it’s taught & it’s taught through mental lessons with yourself.

Whatever your phase is, wherever you are in life, your body is a bikini body.

Balance looks so different for everyone!

It can be quite stressful trying to balance many aspects of our day to day lives let alone adding in training & nutrition balance into the mix!

I get it, it’s overwhelming, it can be hard, it’s not fun at times, but your goals will require some sort of balance and sacrifice, it doesn’t have to be hard, it’s all about taking one step at a time & finding what’s going to suit you personally!
