Can PRP injections be right for you?

Patients with mild to moderate hair loss can be great candidates for PRP therapy.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a three-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp.

PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. As the platelets are injected into the hair, they will become activated and will release stimulating growth hormones to promote hair growth.

As part of our holistic approach our consultation process with our doctor can help determine the cause of hair loss, and combine PRP with other hair loss procedures including prescription medication if needed.

Interesting facts, PRP therapy has been in use since the 1980s. Its original use was for problems such as healing injured tendons, ligaments and muscles and is frequently used at the sports clinic we operate out of.

Before and after Mandible Line (jawline) treatment with dermal filler and anti-wrinkle in chin.

This before and after shows a subtle difference to the clients side profile resulting in a beautiful aesthetic chin and jawline contour and balanced face proportions.
The top image is taken before the treatment and the bottom image is taken at the two week assessment.

Our injecting doctor assessed this client using the golden ratio method to give this client an aesthetically pleasing, natural and balanced appearance.
