Many ND folks judge themselves for:
• Forgetting to eat
• Eating the same safe foods
• Craving carbs
• Feeling overwhelmed by cooking
• Eating irregularly
• Struggling with textures or smells

These aren’t flaws — they’re sensory and executive function
realities.

Self-awareness for ND individuals looks like:
✔Knowing
which foods are “easy access”
✔Planning meals you don’t have to prepare
✔Noticing overstimulation that kills hunger
✔Recognizing shutdown hunger cues (not growling
stomachs)
✔Using visual reminders or structure

Your relationship with food improves when you understand
how your brain communicates hunger uniquely.

When muscles aren’t strong enough to handle everyday
forces…
your joints and connective tissues take the hit instead.

That’s why injuries happen during the simplest things:
• picking up a bag
• stepping off a curb
• twisting slightly
• reaching overhead

Injury prevention isn’t about warming up perfectly —
it’s about building muscle around vulnerable areas.

Muscle is protective armour.
The stronger it gets, the less your joints and tissues are
forced to compensate.

You can reduce injury risk dramatically with intelligent,
progressive strength training.

Message “REBUILD” if you’re done repeating the same
injuries and want a body that feels resilient again.

Masking in fitness isn’t only social.
It happens internally too — especially with energy.

Masking looks like:
• pushing through burnout
• pretending you’re “good to go” when your body is drained
• matching the energy of people around you
• avoiding lighter days because you fear judgment

Unmasking looks like:
✔acknowledging fatigue
✔honouring low-capacity days
✔adjusting load instead of forcing intensity
✔seeing rest as intelligence, not weakness

Your nervous system needs honesty, not pressure.

Emotional eating shows up when words fail.
When emotions feel too big.
When your stress is louder than your needs.

This isn’t a deficit — it’s a sign.

Common emotional patterns:
• Eating when overstimulated
• Eating when lonely
• Eating when you need comfort
• Eating to regulate anxiety
• Eating to feel grounded

Instead of fighting the behaviour , get curious about the
emotion underneath.

Ask:
• What did I need in this moment?
• What was I trying to soothe?
• Where do I feel this in my body?
• What would support me besides food?

Self-awareness isn’t about eating “perfectly.”

It’s about understanding why patterns show up — without
judgment.

Instability isn’t a flaw — it’s feedback.
Your body is telling you it needs more support.

When your muscles are weak or inactive, your joints take over
the job…
and they’re not designed to do it.

That leads to:
• buckling knees
• collapsing ankles
• tight hips
• lower back compensations

Growing muscle around those areas gives your joints the
stability they’re desperately asking for.

It’s not about being strong — it’s about being supported.

DM “SUPPORT” if you want to build stability through muscle,
not guesswork.

Many people walk into a fitness space and immediately mask
— not because they want to, but because they feel they
should already know what they’re doing.

Masking looks like:
• pretending to know equipment
• avoiding asking for help
• copying other people’s form
• rushing through movements to avoid being watched

Unmasking looks like:
✔asking for demos
✔admitting you’re learning
✔choosing simple movements over complicated ones
✔allowing yourself to slow down

Learning is not embarrassing — masking is what prevents true
progress.

If food feels complicated, it’s not because you’re weak — it’s
because you’ve learned to ignore your body for years

A lot of people feel ashamed that they “should” know how to
eat intuitively, but they don’t.

But think about it: If you spent years dieting, restricting,
pushing through hunger, numbing emotions, or prioritising
productivity over nourishment…

Your body learned one thing: being ignored.
Food habits come from survival strategies, not flaws.

Rebuilding self-awareness looks like:
• Eating at regular times
• Noticing early hunger cues
• Slowing down enough to taste your food
• Checking in with emotions before meals
• Giving yourself permission to eat consistently

You can’t reconnect to a body you punish.
You reconnect by paying attention.

Aging isn’t the enemy — weakness is.

Your joints don’t get fragile because of your age.
They get fragile because you lose muscle mass every year
you don’t strengthen it.

Muscle acts like shock absorption.
It stabilizes, protects, and distributes force away from your
joints.

That’s why people who strength train stay mobile,
independent, and resilient as they age.
Longevity isn’t luck.
It’s built.

And you can start at any age — 20, 40, 60+.
Every rep is a deposit into your future body.

Your joints will thank you for every single one.

Send me “LONGEVITY” if you’re ready to age with strength
instead of fear.

Loud music. Echoing weights. Bright lights. People
everywhere.

For many neurodivergent people, the gym isn’t just a gym —
it’s a sensory battlefield.

Masking looks like:
• forcing yourself to endure sensory discomfort
• acting “fine” while your nervous system is overloaded
• avoiding your needs because you don’t want to seem
“difficult”
• hiding stimming or grounding behaviours

Unmasking looks like:
✔wearing noise-cancelling headphones
✔choosing quiet times or quiet corners
✔stimming or regulating between sets
✔adjusting lighting, temperature, or textures where you can
✔choosing environments that support your body

Your sensory needs aren’t an inconvenience. They’re part of
how you move safely and sustainably.

What if your struggles with food aren’t about willpower —
but about being disconnected from what your body is
actually asking for?

Many people think their eating struggles come from a lack of
discipline.
But most challenges with food start from a lack of awareness.

Eating past fullness.
Skipping meals without noticing.
Craving sugar when you’re actually tired.
Feeling “addicted to food” when you’re actually
overwhelmed.

These aren’t failures — they’re signals.
Your body communicates constantly. Most people were
never taught how to listen.

Start self-awareness with simple questions: • Am I hungry or
overstimulated?
• Am I craving or under-fueled?
• Am I eating because I’m empty — or because I’m exhausted?
• What emotion is present before the snack?

Food becomes easier when understanding becomes deeper.
