Why is play important in young children?

Play allows children to use their creativity while developing imagination, cognitive and emotional strength. Play forms a huge part of healthy brain development, especially at an early age to engage and interact with their surroundings. Undirected play encourages children to work in groups, share and learn self-advocacy skills.
