I pride myself on creating such a safe and nurturing space for people to relax fully, to receive the magic of KaHuna massage. If people don't feel safe, they don't feel comfortable. KaHuna massage is a co-created experience.

I experienced the most incredible massage about 7 years ago. It left me in awe. It also changed my life, literally.

I remember sitting up on the table at the end of the session with a very visceral and primal urge to roar, such was the depth of groundedness and connection I was suddenly feeling in my body.

I felt fu***ng alive again.

I am now a certified Lomi Lomi massage practitioner, as well as KaHuna bodyworker. I have also signed myself up for KaHuna level 4 training next month, which is exciting! It feels amazing to be upskilling myself and deepening my practice of these ancient Hawaiian healing modalities.

I completed the Lomi Lomi course just over a week ago with the ladies at Earth Therapies on the Gold Coast. Thank you so much Katharine & Kirralee.

I was blessed to experience, yet again, the profound healing potential of this artful form of bodywork. It helped to solidify even further that this work is absolutely for me.

I was not only witness to but I also helped guide a fellow student on the course to move through a huge amount of grief and trauma that arose while she received a full-body Lomi Lomi massage. It was a very spontaneous release of emotion and trapped energy, which is one of the greatest benefits to this form of bodywork.

It can free us from what holds us back and from what stops us being more fully ourselves in the world, lifting the weight and easing the burden of carrying around repressed feelings in our psyche.

Essentially, it can bring us home to ourselves in a very grounded and embodied way, and leave us more connected to ourselves than we were before.

It was such an honour to be a man in this field of work and to have helped facilitate an experience for her where she felt safe to release such emotion.

Welcome!

What started as tiny seeds of ideas and longings about 2 years ago, has now grown into a sapling, emerging out into the world of form, from a realm of pure possibility.

I am so excited to finally share my newest creation, my Ka Huna massage business based on the Gold Coast - 'A Touch of Mana'.

"Mana is the spiritual life force energy or healing power that permeates the universe, in the culture of the Melanesians and Polynesians. Anyone or thing can have Mana. It is a cultivation or possession of energy and power, rather than being a source of power. It is an intentional force." ~ Wikipedia

About 2 years ago I gifted myself the experience of a Ka Huna massage session with my dear friend Mel. It had been on my radar for a while, on my list of things to do.
I was absolutely blown away at the end of my session. I had never experienced anything like it. Naturally, I went back for more.

I felt so drawn to this sacred Hawaiian art form.

In the last 6 months, I again gifted myself with some more Ka Huna massage, this time with the incredible Liana at HeartSpace Massage & Healing in Talledbugera Valley. I was blown away all over again. I remember at the end of my first session with her, sitting on the table wondering what the f**k had just happened. I remember feeling a strong visceral sensation of being so fu***ng connected to myself.
Although in ways I felt blown open and so expanded, I also felt a simultaneous sense of groundedness in myself. A deep peace. As if I'd been returned to myself. As if parts of me I didn't even realise were fragmented and disconnected had been weaved back together.
Unified.

It was unlike anything I had felt in quite some time.

A month later I had another session with her. During that session, I had the clearest sense and vision come to me of being a Ka Huna massage practitioner. It was a big 'f**k yes' radiating from deep within me. It was a calling from my heart, from my spirit. One that I couldn't possibly ignore!

I acted upon that impulse the next day, and within a couple of weeks, I'd signed up for Ka Huna massage training levels 1 & 2 at Mette's Institute of Bodywork & Personal Development, at High Spirits retreat on the Sunshine Coast.
It took me a great effort to gather the money required, but I did it. I had to. I somehow managed to save even more money than I initially expected, and ended up gifting myself with level 3 Ka Huna training while I was at it!

Needless to say, the training was absolutely incredible. Life-changing. I will share more posts soon about some of the incredible heart-opening experiences I had during my time there.

That training was around 2 months ago.

I am so proud of myself for what I've created since. For the work I have already done.

I was reflecting on it earlier today and I realised that I have truly embarked on one of the most potent and aligned journeys of my life. One that not only offers healing and transformation to those I work with but to myself too, as I willingly submit to this calling. As I step into and embody deeper aspects of who I truly am.

I get the incredible opportunity each time I work with someone to gift them with a touch of mana and channel the energies of passion, healing, care, and nurturance.

I realised today that not only do I get to offer my physical strength and groundedness through this practice of Ka Huna massage, not only do I get to offer my years of experience in holding sacred space for those moving through vulnerable emotional states, I also get to take people on a journey into themselves.

Into the earth.

Into their hearts.

Into their imagination.

Into the cosmos.

I get to weave together songs that inspire the heavenly realms within, states of transcendental bliss, into a playlist that guides each session. It is shamanic in a sense.

I get to creatively express myself and share my abundant passion for conscious movement as I gracefully dance around the massage table performing this sacred flowing art of Ka Huna massage.
All while connected to my heart, to my spirit guides, to archangels and other beings of divine love whom I call in, enveloping my clients in a womb-like bubble of loving presence.

As I move and dance around the massage table in this way, the massage becomes a form of devotion, a worshipping of the bodily temple that lay before me, and of the divine essence that exists within.

A worshipping of their heart.

The massage is no longer simply a massage, but an initiation into deeper levels of one's self.

Such is the transformative potential of this sacred Hawaiian art.

Such is the magic of Ka Huna.

This is the magic that I get to bring to Ka Huna.
