I used to wake up dysregulated as a kid...

I used to wake up dysregulated as a kid...
and remember when I was studying psychology
in my mid-tweeties recalling in a textbook and a motivational leader memorable quotes:
"Your brain is shaped by what you rest your
mind on"
"What your mind believes your body manifest"
"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change"

and thinking most of my childhood I'd been
going to bed in a state of fear, insecurity or
uncertainty etc
My mind hadn't been resting at all, and my brain activated while (resting/sleeping) in survival
processing memories, events etc and my body
still in a state of feeling anxious waking up even before I could think about it ๐ฅบ it all started to
make sense...
Again ๐จโ๐ง fatherhood was the catalyst, and my
childhood made more sense to see life through another lense of my daughter (a child) along
with my Mindfulness practices ie a beginner's
mind. To see things "as if, for the first time) that created more shifts in perspective and a new
way of being in the world I could turn everything around ๐ก one habit, one day at a time...
