This retreat is designed to welcome you all and gift you the time to rest, relax and revive after a busy 2023.

There will be some intention setting or goal setting of you will for 2024 so you have a clear vision heading into next year.

Let’s talk about something that’s often overlooked but makes a world of difference in our industry: ENERGY! 💆‍♀️✨

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Your vibe attracts your tribe,” and it couldn’t be more true in the world of hairdressing. Clients walk into our salons not just for a haircut or colour but for an EXPERIENCE. And that experience is deeply influenced by the energy we bring into the salon.
Why is Your Mood and Energy So Important?
Clients are like energy sponges; they pick up on our moods and vibes even before we say a word. So, if you’re having an off day or carrying negative energy, they’re going to feel it. It can set the tone for their entire salon visit.
Think about it - when you walk into a room and someone’s beaming with positivity, doesn’t it lift your spirits? The same applies to our clients. When they step into our salon, they should be greeted by an energy that makes them feel valued, relaxed, and excited about their transformation.

💡 Shifting Your Energy
I’m not saying we need to be all smiles 24/7, because that’s not real life. We all have our ups and downs. But it’s about being AWARE of your energy and making a conscious effort to shift it if it’s not serving you or your clients.
Try some simple techniques to shift your energy:
Mindfulness: Take a few moments before each appointment to centre yourself. Breathe deeply and let go of any stress, negativity and tension in the body. Take 2-3 minutes to do this

Gratitude: Focus on something you’re grateful for. Gratitude can instantly boost your mood. Don’t just think of it as a past memory, relive it as if it is happening now and feel all the emotions of happiness you felt then.

Music: Play some uplifting or calming music in the background. Music has the power to change the atmosphere and set the right tone

Jade's Makeover with us at Mobile Barber Shop Depot was inspirational, emotional, and just wonderful. 💛

She has found the strength to break free from her addiction, marking a turning point in her life. In the future, she would like to secure employment that allows her to help others, becoming a beacon of hope and strength not only for her children but also for those in need. Her main aspiration is to regain her independence and stability, find comfort and confidence in herself once again, and create a better future for her family.

Is your salon dictating to you?
Are you feeling burnout, over worked and can’t take time off?

If this is you let me tell you, I totally get it. I have been exactly where you are and it sucks.
Not going to lie.

The number one thing that crushes your soul and spirit is being undervalued and unappreciated.

I started my hair salon in 2010 and I was a young 27yr old ready to change the world 🤩 I had so much drive and passion I felt unstoppable.
I hired 3 team members 1 senior 2 apprentices and we had such an amazing bond and worked really well together.

3 months in I fall pregnant 🤰 🙈 this was NOT the plan!

I built up such a beautiful team and trained them I was able to take time off when I had my baby boy, but I was straight back in the salon after 3 months.

The salon wasn’t earning as much as it was when I was there, things started to slip when I wasn’t in the salon.

So I turned that around quick smart.

I was working so much, long hours, saying yes to everyone, being the people pleaser and I forgot about me 😔.

I realised when I had a phone call from the Grandmother saying Ryder has just taken his first steps 🙌 oh my gosh it’s so beautiful, I’m so proud of him……

😔 S**t! I felt so deflated , like a failure and mum guilts set in real quick.

I never wanted to feel like this again!

I had to find a way to do both!

Successful salon and be there for my family (a present mother)

So I did.

Once I changed thing’s everything else started to fall into place.
I hired more staff was able to take more time off and take my team to hair expo and have amazing experiences together.

There is definitely a way to have both, don’t forget about your beautiful self in the mix 😊

This is my little sanctuary✨
I love my space I have created for myself.

In these photos we were doing makeovers for some homeless / underprivileged ladies on the Gold Coast.

Seeing their transformations was next level!

Seeing the way the light up and SHINE when they walk out of the salon, is the whole reason why I wanted to be a hairdresser.

We honestly do have the best job in the world.

I love the relationships
I love how their energy transforms
I love the hair transformation
I love the connection and conversations

Doing something that I love is so important to me.
