The relentless pursuit to be the best! Greatness in the making ⏱️

After some downtime with Rick last week it’s safe to say his drive has never been more alive. The drive to push the boundaries and continuously see what the body is capable of is something else, complacency doesn’t have a place in this sport.

We’ve got an entirely new game-plan coming into this season and I can’t wait to see it unfold.

Epic session chasing down the 1% with

Every session spent together we uncover new ways to become more efficient in movement patterns, breaking down the mechanics of each exercise, one workout at a time. This has resulted in multiple restriction + pain free PB’s.

After seeing the work he’s put in behind closed doors and the areas he’s improved on, to say I’m excited to see him back out on the competition floor is an understatement.

Reps on Reps, Nothing comes close to the results of hard work.

It’s the day of rego and we’re ready to hit the ground running, endless amounts of work has gone in behind closed doors, and we’re ready for what the week ahead has in store for us.

As we entered the arena, Rick’s Shoulder was on everyone’s mind. All were thinking it, and a number of them asking it… Is it going to hold up? Has his recovery been rushed? Is it too soon for him to attend a well-known ‘heavy’ competition. Little do they know it’s taken the best team to get him back here to 100%.

Though mind games don’t work when it comes to Ricky, nothing phases him, even to the point where he let out a comment as we left rego day, I think my repaired Shoulder actually feels better than my other one, haha 😂

After winning Event 2 with a heavily dominated Shoulder movement (Log Muscle Up’s) we knew for sure that this Shoulder was in the game.

I couldn’t have been anymore proud of your effort over the week bro, witnessing your resilience first-hand and battling through after severely ripped hands on the second day, just goes to show your determination to compete at the highest level.

It was an honour to prep you before each event and after every day to ensure we stayed on top of the recovery, and we did just that! We only wish there was a Day 5 to keep climbing.

Back to camp, back to further body work and to making a few adjustments before the next comp! Can’t wait for what’s to come 😤

Overhead Positioning Unlocked!⚡️

What I’ve learnt about High Performers is that they are continuously finding ways to improve in their field. These are the athletes that are open and willing, committed to trying new techniques that become the edge they are all looking for.

For these individuals it's about breaking down mechanics together and simplifying specific techniques to understand the areas of focus we need to pursue, having a direct purpose on improving functionality, efficiency and mechanics, resulting in these athletes continuing to perform at the top of their game.

From here it’s about building routines and habits that lead to moving more efficiently and allowing the consistency to compound.

To say I’m beyond thankful to be trusted by these athletes is an understatement! The goal always has been and always will be to leave them in better condition than I found them.

After watching the new Documentary, it reiterated just how crucial it is for these athletes to have optimal Mobility!

The name of the game is efficiency and the athletes who move the most efficiently are the ones that continue to perform the best throughout the week.

It was hard to watch the WF-HSPU event but exciting to know that this will NEVER again be your weakness . The picture in the next slide is what we achieved together within our sessions.

Improving Shoulder ROM: A journey back to the competition floor.

Rick is a true testament to the power of dedicated rehab, pushing boundaries (workouts slightly further than any guidelines), and having a mindset of resilience.

During our recent session, we assesed various movement patterns to restore lost range of motion in his Shoulder and help accelerate his recovery, aiming to get him back on the competition floor as soon as possible.

With limited overhead movement and a period of time spent in a sling, we discovered excessive tension in Ricks Pec’s, Subscap and Anterior Delt.

To address this, we focused on releasing tension with the support of a bench. Through controlled breathing, PNF and gentle horizontal abduction (pain free), we witnessed the tension release rapidly, eventually reaching a point where he experienced complete freedom and returned ROM (using dumbbells to anchor his hands).

Can’t wait to further work closely together and get him back on the competition floor.
