Hours of entertainment! 🤣🤣

The ANPA have worked our butts off for the last 12 months to ensure our digital presence is powerful and strategic.

We are now performing on Meta Platforms in the top 1% of our niche, or all Disability related pages, with our page getting up to 1 million views per month.

We are proud of the reach we have worked hard to achieve. We hope it only grows.

This matters, and who we are reaching matters. We reach deep into our community, but we are also reaching a lot of non followers. We are now able to modestly monetise our content, which helps/will keep helping to pay for petrol and accommodation when we need to go to Parliament to attend hearings - or run pr0tests!

Digital campaigning matters. It makes a dent. Digital is also much more accessible for many Disabled people.

We know our voice is big, and we like it that way. We hope it gets bigger, and louder and gets the message of Disability rights exactly where it needs to go:

Into the halls of power.

Into the hearts and minds of every Australian.

Into the hands of media.

And into the changes and protections for our community we are fighting for.

The fact I've had to argue this to people in comments since the evil tangerine's announcement shows the harm these narratives create and continue to perpetuate. People don't understand that e.g. non-speaking and 24hr care does not equate to a miserable or suffering life, but they can't see past their idea of a worthy life 😡😭

Our sweet Gander, Gandalf.

He has lived the ducklings since hatch day. And has appointed himself official duck sitter.

🥰

His goslings will be hatching in the next couple of weeks.

Can't wait to see him with his own babies. He has always been so attentive to his mate Dusty.

Our animals bring me so much joy 😊

All my ducks in a row didn't last long.

Paying for my one good day today 😪

Those days where I can ambulate unaided get fewer and fewer. So I try to make the most of them.

Our ducklings 🐥 such a joy to see them grow.

This disease robs me of a lot, but this place and the animals here are my autistic glimmers.

I know I'm blessed to feel joy so intensely. And it's what keeps me going while dealing with such intense pain and loss.

MELAS sucks.

But I'll get Pabs Place up and running so others can also be surrounded by the joy these animals bring.
