(our Grief & Loss support group will continue during this time).

🏡 Location Update
We wanted to share openly with our community that our much-loved space at Isle of Capri will soon be undergoing renovations.

As Motherhood Village continues to grow, we have reached a point where a permanent home is needed, one that allows us to support more mothers, expand our groups, and be there for our community in an even bigger way.

We are currently exploring options and expect a transition into a new space in Term 2.

Once confirmed, we will:
- Contact all booked mothers directly
- Share updates here on socials
- Send email communications to keep everyone informed

💫 About Our Support Groups

How lucky are we to have such an amazing community 🤍

Our Resident Grandma volunteers are the heart of Motherhood Village. Every week, they show up with love, caring for the little ones so our mums can take a breath, connect, and feel supported during their groups. We honestly don’t know what we’d do without them!

A special shoutout to Kym, who not only gives her time so generously but also brought in extra donations through her work with to share with our mums 💛

Thank you to Kym and the whole Resident Grandma volunteer team…your kindness and care help make our village so special 🤩

Sometimes the most powerful encouragement comes from another mum who has been there. 🤍

Here are a few words shared by mothers who have attended our groups

“Thank you for creating such a safe space.”

“This group has been a lifeline during one of the hardest seasons of my life.”

If you’ve been wondering whether to come along, we hope these words from other mums help you feel a little more comfortable taking that first step. You don’t need to have the right words, and you never have to share more than you feel ready to.

🤍 Becoming parents changes everything.

The roles, routines and rhythms you once shared as a couple stretch to hold the needs of a new little life.

Relationships change. Time together becomes scarce, intimacy can feel different, and conversations often revolve around nappies, feeds and sleep.

This doesn’t mean your love is gone, or that your relationship is failing. It means you are navigating one of life’s biggest transitions together.

It’s okay to miss the ease of before. Missing what was doesn’t mean you don’t value what you have now. You are simply learning to love, and live, in a new way.

This season is tender, and it takes time. Go gently with yourself, and with each other.

Motherhood Village offers free mental health peer support groups for mothers during pregnancy through to five years post birth. If you are navigating overwhelm, mental health challenges, isolation, grief or simply need a place to feel understood, you are welcome in our village. 💛

Small groups - bookings essential 🫶 Book online or via the link in our Bio.

🏉 Titans fans! This is a truly special opportunity.

Motherhood Village is incredibly grateful to the for their support of mothers in our community, and for creating this money-can’t-buy auction experience to help raise valuable funds for Gold Coast mothers in need.

Members and fans have a unique opportunity to bid for a money-can’t-buy experience, with all funds raised supporting the work we do here at Motherhood Village.

🎉 On offer is a premium stadium experience at Women In League Round on Sunday, July 19, when the Titans take on the Sea Eagles (NRL) and Eels (NRLW).

⭐Enjoy an inner sanctum tour for two people to witness all the behind-the-scenes pre-game action including locker rooms, iconic stadium facilities and field access.

⭐ After the pre-game tour, the experience includes two tickets to The Star Palladium Club Lounge to enjoy a three course sit down meal including beverages. The day also includes a personal meet and greet with either Josh Hannay or Karyn Murphy.

⭐ Also part of the auction is two tickets to an intimate and inspiring lunch alongside women’s rugby league royalty — including the likes of Titans owner Rebecca Frizelle, Titans NRLW coach Karyn Murphy and elite NRLW players. A truly special event not to be forgotten... all for a good cause!

⭐ Fans can also bid on an exclusively-signed NRL or NRLW jersey.

We are so thankful to the Gold Coast Titans for their support of Motherhood Village, and to Titans NRLW star .chapman, who recently threw her support behind our work in conjunction with International Women’s Day, delivering care hampers packed by the club’s players and staff to mothers in our community.

As a small, grassroots charity founded right here on the Gold Coast, this support means so much to us.
A mum’s mental health directly impacts her infant and children, so by helping a mother, it helps her entire family.

⏰ The auction closes at 7pm Thursday, March 12.

Every bid helps ensure no mother has to navigate mental health during the perinatal and early parenting years alone. 💜

A huge thank you to the .chapman and all the staff and team from Gold Coast Titans for choosing Motherhood Village as your charity of choice this International Women’s Day. 💜

Your generosity in donating such thoughtful gifts for the mothers in our community. and their little ones, means so much. As a locally led, grassroots Gold Coast charity, having the support of an organisation like the Titans truly means the world to us. 🫶

Support like this helps shine a light on the importance of a mother’s mental health and the need for communities to come together to support mums through pregnancy, postpartum and the early years of motherhood.

We’re so grateful to stand alongside organisations that care deeply about the wellbeing of local mothers and families. Thank you for backing our village. 🫶

We felt it was important to share our commitment with our community.

As a community-based perinatal mental health peer support charity operating in Queensland, Motherhood Village is committed to:

- Upholding the Queensland Child Safe Standards
- Creating environments that are physically, emotionally and culturally safe
- Protecting infants and children by strengthening maternal wellbeing
- Ensuring all staff, peer leaders, volunteers and Board members act in ways that safeguard children and families

While our service is designed for mothers, we recognise that children are often present at our sessions. Their safety and wellbeing are paramount.

We are building a community where no mother is alone, and children and families thrive because she is supported.

Your mental health matters 🤍

Our support groups are welcoming, gentle spaces grounded in lived experience, where you can speak openly, be heard, and feel understood.

No judgement. No pressure. Just connection with mums who truly understand.

Because you don’t have to carry it all on your own.

Pictured is one of our Village Art for Perinatal Mental Health groups which we are able to deliver thanks to the support from and two of our mums with their Perinatal Mental Health Wellbeing Resource Journals, created thanks to a grant from Australia Post.

Thoughtfully designed to support mums through the real, complex journey of mental health in motherhood.

Loneliness is something we don’t talk about enough in motherhood.

When I think back to my own experience of postpartum depression and anxiety, it wasn’t just the sadness or the overwhelm… it was the loneliness that sat underneath it all.

The kind of loneliness where you can be surrounded by your family, holding your newborn, and still feel completely alone.

Alone in your thoughts.
Alone in how low you feel.
Alone in the quiet question of, “Why am I not happy?”

Because everywhere you look, the world tells you that this should be the happiest time of your life.
And when it doesn’t feel that way, it can make the loneliness even heavier.

But here’s what I’ve learned…

One of the most powerful things that begins to lift that loneliness is connection.

Not advice.
Not fixing.
Not being told what you “should” do or feel.

Just connection.

Sitting with someone who understands.
Being seen.
Being heard.
Being able to say the things you’ve been holding in, and realising you are not the only one.

That is the power of our Motherhood Village peer support groups.

We aren’t there to solve or fix.
We are there to sit beside you.
To listen.
To understand.

To help you feel, and know, that you are not alone. 💛
