First up - CiCi and I are available to look after a home and pets on the Gold Coast & Northern Rivers between July 22-August 10. She adores cats and all dogs - but if your pets need their space / privacy then Cici will be happy at doggy care during the days so it might still work.

Perth Pet Parents, I have my best friend coming to visit in June and she is available for pet sitting from June 10 onwards for about 2 weeks

Is your fur-fam being over-vaccinated? ⁣💉
⁣
Vaccinations are an essential part of your pets preventative care and are recommended for puppies and kittens. ⁣
⁣
❌ However, unnecessary repeat vaccinations can put the immune system under undue stress and can be avoided by using titre testing to assess your pets immunity. ⁣
⁣
✅ A titre test involves taking a blood sample from your pet and assessing their immunity levels to the viral infections we vaccinate against. ⁣
⁣
If your pet has a strong antibody response, they do not need a repeat vaccination. ⁣
⁣
✅ 95% of dogs will not need a booster beyond their puppy course, and I regularly see pets with strong immunity from 3-8 years following their puppy course! ⁣

Avoiding unnecessary booster vaccinations is especially important if your pet has ANY kind of chronic / ongoing illness or immune system issue. ⁣

👉 Skin allergies ⁣
👉 IBD⁣
👉 Auto immune conditions ⁣

In February, I titre testing 14 dogs and only one needed a booster!

I am baaaaack!
Back in Perth / seeing patients again... and finally back on track with my health/energy levels! 🙏👏👏👏
2 weeks up north in Shark Bay with 10 days of camping with my fabulous Mumma on Carbla Station beach was absolute bliss.. and was exactly what my body and brain needed to properly switch off... and do some much-needed healing of body, mind and spirit!

I am going to share a little about my own personal health journey over the next few posts, because the natural health approach I use with my patients is very similar to my own!

The past three months have been a rough ride with my "chronic fatigue" returning... just when I thought my chronic mould illness had been conquered!

I was quite baffled and disappointed because I was doing everything possible to keep my immune system supported. I was seeing multiple doctors and naturopaths without getting any more answers besides a "post-viral fatigue" diagnosis which didn't cut the mustard for me... so I kept on asking more questions, covering more bases with diagnostics and kept on pushing for answers and further testing...

After seven doctor's visits, five lots of bloods and 3 naturopathic consults, we finally found an explanation for my ongoing fatigue when 2 titres came back positive with rickettsia or spotted fever, which is a tick borne infection.

CBD Oil... ✅ CB-Dos and 🙅 CB-Don'ts!

I often see peeps risk their pets health by using products that 👉
🙅 3. Aren't certified in how many miligrams per mL or mg/ml

This tells us the concentration of actives and is vitally important so we can get the dose rate in the recommended range.

Every pet responds a little differently, hence for one pet it might take a much higher dose to be therapeutic. OR a much lower dose to cause issues.

Whilst it's very safe, provided the THC levels are safe - PLEASE read my previous post on this topic!)... some pets are sensitive and will still feel "a bit funny / not themselves / too sleepy" etc if the dose gets too much for them.

For this reason, I recommend starting at the lowest end of the dosage range (1.5mg/kg) and increase gradually, according to effect.

For pain relief, in some cases we need to use as much as 4mg/kg.

Pets with reduced kidney/liver function may need a lower dose.

It is vital that you consult with a Holistic Vet to make sure you are dosing effectively.

I offer Virtual (video/phone) consults and can dispense CBD to patients Australia wide as long as we have had a minimum 10 minute telehealth, and your pet has been examined by a Vet within the previous 6 months.
