John Flynn Private Hospital is a 345 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending in

to the NSW Northern Rivers area. John Flynn provides a wide range of health care services with a 24 hour emergency department, comprehensive cardiac services, general and orthopaedic surgery, cancer services, medical, maternity and paediatrics, renal dialysis, day surgery and rehabilitation services. John Flynn have a Tier One Contract with the Department of Veteran Affairs and also provide services to the Gold Coast and Tweed Veteran community. The campus consists of the main hospital building, specialist medical suites, the John Flynn Cancer Centre, and also includes additional services such as radiotherapy (radiation oncology), radiology (x-ray), pathology and a 24 hour onsite pharmacy. Nestled in a hilltop position with sweeping ocean and rural views and attractive, well-designed wards, John Flynn Private Hospital offers a peaceful environment conducive to good health and recovery.

The ceremony will take place on the fountain lawns. Visitors are welcome to lay wreaths at the monument and join us for refreshments afterwards.

It’s a very special Easter for parents Jessica and Josh, who are taking home their gorgeous twins this week 🐣🐰

Sadie and Roman are the fifth set of twins born at John Flynn Private Hospital this year, and will be enjoying their first Easter with big sister Vera.

In a surgical first for the Gold Coast, we have introduced a total shoulder replacement using the MAKO robotic system.

Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Andrew McBride performed the first surgery, where the robot works alongside the surgeon to enhance precision without replacing human expertise.

“This provides the potential for a less invasive approach that preserves bone and tissue and overall improved ex*****on of the treatment plan that is tailored to each patient’s anatomy,” Dr McBride said.

“The entire orthopaedic team at John Flynn Private Hospital are fortunate to have access to such advanced technology that has the potential for such wide-ranging benefits.”
