Because you loved me,
my soul was set free.
Your gift—loving me
for me—
was all I needed to just be.

So for this, I’m on bended knee
to thank you for all the times
you heard the same story yet again,
and sat with me in a presence
of peace, like the tinkling of a
soft wind chime.

Thank you for this grace and space.
This pure and unconditional
love feels like a precious gift
from above.

Even the Ocean start’s its day with broken pieces of yesterday.

But the waves wash away everything for a fresh start.

Every day is a new beginning.

Every morning the sea wake’s up,
To the first day of its new life.

As I sit beneath this towering tree, its massive trunk precariously perched on the riverbank’s edge, I marveled at its resilience.

The creek’s gentle waters lapped, whispering secrets from the earth below. “You’re still standing for a reason.”

How did this ancient giant remain standing, defying gravity just hanging on the edge and surviving the whims of the wind?

As I gazed closer, I noticed a delicate network of roots, like fine lace where the large support roots used to lay. Just above a velvety vibrant green moss that carpeted the trunk, was a wonderment in itself.

It was as if the tree had adapted, finding a way to thrive despite its precarious position. The roots seemed to cling to the earth for dear life, while the tree’s sturdy trunk stood tall, a testament to its enduring spirit.

I felt a deep connection to this tree, seeing parallels between its struggles and my own. Like the tree, I had faced challenges that had left me feeling fragile, my foundation shaken. But I had learned to adapt, to find strength in the support of others. The tree’s roots, though diminished, were still anchored deep within the earth, drawing nourishment from the soil and the flowing water.

Calm but deep.

You hold the power, a choice so fine,
In every moment, a path divine.
No matter the past, no matter the pain,
You can rise above, break free from the chain.

Your past can be a prison, or a lesson learned,
A choice to rise, or in shadows burned.
You can be a victim, or a warrior true,
The choice is yours, in all you do.

Endure, survive, or thrive, the choice is key,
To be present, or lost, in misery.
Even in darkness, a glimmer of light,
A chance to choose, and take flight.

Don’t punish yourself, for choices past,
But learn from them, and let wisdom last.
You had options, though they may seem few,
Choose to take control, and see it through.

Sometimes not choosing, is a choice unseen,
A hidden path, that keeps you stuck, and lean.
Take back your power, don’t give it away,
Choose to rise, and seize a brighter day.

In every moment, a choice is made,
To rise above, or in shadows fade.
Choose life, choose hope, choose to be free,
And find the strength, to live wild and carefree. -Susan Joy

Grab life’s hand, and find your way.

It’s time to live, and claim your years.

You’ve got many a year, make it count,
Take a stand, and prepare to dismount.
Live the life you’ve always dreamed,
And make each moment be extreme.

It’s time to spend more days,
In nature’s peace, in sunny ways.
Trips in the van, with wind in hair,
Reading, singing, without a care.

The Colours here on the wall, for all to see,
A reflection of you, wild and free.

A w**d or a wish, a fleeting thought,
Just a swish, and life’s plot is brought.
From hell to bliss, it twists and turns,
Unpredictable, life’s lessons to learn.

No answers today, just feelings deep,
Emotions swirling, in endless repeat.
But in the midst of uncertainty’s haze,
I make a choice, a path to blaze.

Today, I’ll choose to swish, to shift, to sway,
To move towards bliss, come what may.
No guarantees, no promises made,
Just a willingness to let go, to walk the charade.

In the swish of life, I’ll find my way,
Through w**ds and wishes, night and day.
And though the journey’s uncertain, I’ll stride,
With every swish, a step towards the other side.

A swan with wings tipped of snowy white,
Had dreams that danced beneath the night,
She yearned for freedom, wild and free,
A life beyond her family’s sea.

With courage in her heart, she took to flight,
Leaving behind the familiar light,
Her family watched, with wonder and dismay,
As she soared into a brand new day.

She chased the sun, and danced with glee,
Living life on her own wild sea,
Though distant from her family’s nest,
Her spirit sang, and she found her best.

Her dream had wings, and she did fly,
A swan of courage, in a world so high.
