Help My Mum Fight MND – A Lifetime of Giving, Now She Needs Our Help
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
My beautiful mum has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) – a cruel and progressive illness that slowly robs a person of their ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually, breathe.
There is no cure. No way to reverse it. And really no sugar coating it.
Just time—and the hope that we can make each moment more manageable, more comfortable, and more filled with love.
My mum has spent her entire life giving to others. Through her work in natural health, she helped countless people improve their wellbeing, always going above and beyond to make sure her clients felt truly cared for. She gave people hope and healing when they needed it most.
Outside of her clinic, she volunteered for years running a local karate dojo for kids. It wasn’t just about teaching them martial arts—it was about building confidence, discipline, community, and kindness.
Now, the woman who spent her life lifting others up is the one who needs help.
MND has taken away her ability to work, eat, and speak and with it, her financial independence.
She’s facing enormous challenges daily—physically, emotionally, and financially.
It’s devastating to watch someone so strong, so generous, and so selfless slowly lose the ability to do the simplest things. But we are not giving up. We are fighting for every bit of quality of life she can have.
We are humbly asking for your help— even if you can only give a $1 donation and a share of this post, with the numbers this will make a huge difference and both mum and I will be forever grateful.
Every little bit goes a long way. If my mum has ever helped you, inspired you, or even just made you smile, or maybe you never met her but would just like to help, please consider helping her now in her time of need.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey with us.
