METABOLIC BALANCE PHASE 2
Phase 2 Metabolic Balance: No oil… but so much progress! ☕🥗
I’m now in my second week of Phase 2 of Metabolic Balance, and this stage has been a big learning curve… but in the BEST way.
For the first 2 weeks it’s no added oils (yes… no oil 😅), and honestly I’m surprised how well I’m managing it now.
What’s getting easier:
✅ Meal prep
✅ Shopping
✅ Knowing exactly what foods and proteins work best for me
✅ Having trusted “go-to” sources (life saver!)
And I can already see how valuable this will be for my clients in the future, because once you learn the system it becomes so much simpler and empowering.
I’m also SO grateful to have my coffee back ☕
(only with meals… but still… thank goodness!)
Another big win has been the 5 hour spacing between meals.
That break gives the body time to settle insulin and shift out of constant grazing mode… and I can genuinely feel the difference.
The only boring part?
Weighing food is a little tedious and Phase 2 food can feel a bit bland… but I keep reminding myself: this is just the reset stage.
Next I’ll be moving into Phase 3: same menu… but introducing fats again 🙌 (hello flavour!)
One challenge I’m working on now:
Finding true 100% rye bread that actually meets the plan (harder than you’d think!)
If you’ve found a great one, I’d LOVE to hear it.
💛 If you’re on your own health journey, just remember… progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s simply getting organised, staying consistent, and learning what your body responds to.
✅ Option 2 (More professional for LinkedIn)
Phase 2 Metabolic Balance: Consistency is becoming easier
I’m currently in Week 2 of Phase 2 of the Metabolic Balance programme, and this phase has been both challenging and incredibly valuable.
This stage requires no added oils for the first 2 weeks, along with structured meals and 5-hour spacing between meals to support stable insulin response and metabolic reset.
The biggest change I’ve noticed this week is how much easier everything feels once you establish your routine:
✅ meal prep is faster
✅ shopping is simpler
✅ food choices become automatic
✅ the system becomes sustainable
I’m also grateful to have coffee again (only with meals) ☕ which feels like a small but meaningful comfort.
The reality?
Weighing food can be a little tedious and Phase 2 meals can feel bland… but the structure is teaching discipline, awareness, and consistency.
I’ll soon transition into Phase 3, where healthy fats are reintroduced and meals become far more enjoyable again.
One practical challenge I’m working through: finding true 100% rye bread that meets the plan requirements (it’s surprisingly difficult to source!).
If anyone has a great recommendation, I’d love to hear it.
