When families visit us because their childโs glasses are getting stronger, they often ask if there is anything beyond just updating the prescription.
At Harmony Vision, we provide thorough assessments and discuss a range of ways to correct shortโsightedness (myopia) and manage it over time โ including spectacles, orthokeratology (OrthoโK), specific soft contact lenses designed for myopia control and red light therapy. The right choice depends on the childโs eyes, age, activities and what feels practical for the family.

We were fortunate to be one of the first practices in the country to start using the original MiSightยฎ1 Day lenses many years ago. We continue that long history with the release of CooperVisionโs update to that lens. The MyDayยฎ MiSightยฎ 1 day lens is now available and a valuable addition to our suite of treatments.
It is a daily disposable soft contact lens that uses CooperVisionโs ActivControlยฎ Technology and is specifically designed for myopia control in suitable children, while also correcting their vision for everyday activities like school and sport.
Our role is to explain the evidence, outline the pros and cons of each approach, and support you in choosing what feels appropriate for your child. If you have questions about myopia or myopia control contact lenses, youโre welcome to book an appointment at our Varsity Lakes clinic to discuss this in more detail.
