White Grandfather or Desert Sage is a sacred cleansing, purifying and protecting plant that has been used traditionally for smudging to purify the mind, body and spirit before praying.
In the Cree Medicine Wheel we say, “Sage is the plant of the South and is used for cleansing and purifying.”
Cleansing and Purifying ourselves, our space, our homes and our sacred objects.
In this Medicine Wheel every stone has a plant, a crystal, a color and an animal associated to pat of it’s representation
It has been shown that burning sage increases clarity and awareness, heightens wisdom, improves moods, enhances the memory and quickens the senses.
Burning sage turns into positive ions as smoke, therefore, it becomes a smudging practice that purifies and cleanses the atmosphere.

Medicine Drum for Sale...

This is a beautiful 15" Kangaroo Medicine Drum and Drum Be**er for sale
This Drum has been hand made by me with the "No Knot Weave", one continuous thread of white sinew. With the alchemy of my "Wamachi" (my Sacred Breathe) taught to me by Grey Wolf who was my teacher, an Inupiat man from Alaska
He taught me this style of Drum making 40 years ago this year
I placed the kangaroo hide inside out on this Drum to give it a different effect but it still sings powerfully. It feels like it brings the heart of the kangaroo out a little more. More of a connection to the heart-beat of Mother Earth, the heart-beat inside you and I, and the heart-beat of all things living.
When this Drum was being made I felt medicine of Buffalo for the Ancestors, Elders, abundance, knowledge and wisdom. The Medicine of the North on the Sacred Hoop of Life.
Kangaroo Medicine is about grounding and moving forward. A kangaroo can never move backwards because of it's tail
It is also said that kangaroo is about family as they are usually always travel in mobs and that the hide is a masculine energy.
So if you wish to Journey with more masculine energy in your life, maybe this Drum is calling you
The Drum Be**er comes with it and has a sheep's wool head for a bit of a softer tone, and is decorated with kangaroo leather.

HELP / SUPPORT WITH MOVING

Some Good News

After all the trials with health stuff and having to leave this Currumbin Valley house on the land. My chest has eased a little with the asthma in the last 48 hours.
There has been so much to surrender into.

Great news
I found a little granny flat today in Elanora. It is small but I feel I will squeeze things in. So I pick up the keys on Friday morning I will need to aim to be out of this place by Sunday afternoon 11/2.

If anyone is free to help me move stuff next Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9, 10, 11 February, the help will be greatly appreciated. I really need to have everything out by Sunday arvo.

Also I still have some boxes to pack around the house this week if anyone has any spare time. If you could let me know of your availability.

Hello friends and loved ones of Peter ... This is Jacquie Amos posting on behalf Peter.

Our beloved friend, Peter Bowden, known to many as Womble Mahtu, is facing an incredibly challenging time in his life. Despite enduring two hip replacements and a stroke, Peter's spirit remains resilient, fueled by his remarkable shamanic journey and his loving, kind nature.

Peter's journey has been one of healing and connection, guided by his big heart and unwavering compassion. However, this past year has tested his strength like never before, leaving him physically frail and emotionally and mentally drained.

Now, he stands on the brink of eviction from his home in Currumbin Valley, with nowhere to go. The weight of his struggles has been hidden behind a brave smile, but the reality is that Peter needs our urgent help.

With his physical fragility and emotional exhaustion, Peter needs a safe haven more than ever. His situation is dire, but together, we can make a difference.
