Low Impact Lower Body 🔥

Five body weight exercises that will build functional strength in your lower body.

~ Donkey pulse X 20 | each side

~ Scooter skater clam | X 10 each side

~ ISO squat and calf raise | 45 seconds

~ Plié + toe drag | X 5 each side

~ Squat march with rotation | X 10 to each side

This series includes a variety of ways to effectively target key muscle groups, including: isometric holds, top end range activation, as well as the all important loading on the full stretch phase of movement.

Mobility Moooves 🤗

Give these three exercises a try if you’re interested in working on your active hip rotation as well as stretching & strengthening your hamstrings and glutes.

Exercise list: 🌈

1️⃣ Deep lunge with back extension + hamstring stretch.
✖️Use the support of your back hand to help square your torso as you extend. Keep your hips level and bring your toes to your nose as you move into the hamstring stretch.

2️⃣ Split stance forward fold + rock back to hamstring stretch.
✖️Starting in a wider stance will help to maintain balance! Keep cutting the front hip back as you lengthen over and lift back up.

3️⃣ Three point hover hip CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations).
✖️ Actively move through a broad range of motion. Each time try to create a larger circle to improve control in the outer limits of your usable range.

Big news for our little family - our website and on demand platform is live! 🥳

We started our studio, Vie Pilates, back in 2005 - I was joking to a client the other day that I should’ve been filming YouTube workouts back then instead of trying to build my business. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Well, here we are 16 years later and we are now (finally) taking our studio online.
It’s always been a dream of ours to bring high quality, affordable movement teachings to those who can’t walk through our physical doors.

Big news for our little family - our website and on demand platform is live! 🥳

We started our studio, Vie Pilates, back in 2005 - I was joking to a client the other day that I should’ve been filming You Tube workouts back then instead of trying to build my business. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Reminiscing on two years with ❤️

My classes appear fortnightly in the Centr planner and are designed to give you a taste of the benefits of Pilates as part of a broader program.✨

It’s an honour to be amongst such an amazing, diverse group of trainers and to connect with so many wonderful Centr Legends. :)

One of the highlights of my involvement with Centr is the ever inspiring Facebook community and their hilarious reactions to my Pilates classes. Many have discovered that: 🔽

🤔 I cannot count
🤥 I lie about repetitions regularly
😬 I like to make people (not really😉)
🍑 I have no mercy when it comes to the glute burn
😎 I let everyone know that Pilates isn’t simply stretching and is definitely NOT a rest day!

Who else works with their partner? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Breaker and I had fun (most of the time 😆🥴) filming over 20 original workouts for our soon to be launching website!

We’ve structured and programmed each workout around how we personally love to train and keep fit. After over 20+ years of Pilates practice we’ve found that this method of training is the most effective for us (and our clients)!

Within each session there are options to modify or progress each exercise to cater for all levels of fitness.

As you can see, Breaker really likes taking advice and LOVES to be in front of the camera! 😀 He is particularly good at spacing himself to be in the right place at the right time. You can’t teach that. 🍑
