During the early stages of an eating disorder, it can be common for someone to not realise that they are unwell.
Researchers at Flinders University want to better understand the role that not recognising symptoms of an eating disorder, or not recognising their symptoms are serious enough to get treatment or support, can play in young people’s experience of eating disorders, and how this can impact people seeking help.🦋
Participation involves a 10-minute online survey, and a one-hour interview with a psychologist, where you will be invited to reflect on your lived experience of an eating disorder and your help-seeking journey.💙
The study has ethics approval, and recruitment closes March 2026. Participants will receive a $40 voucher.
If you’re interested in participating and are aged 18-25 years with a lived experience of an eating disorder, head here: https://qualtrics.flinders.edu.au/jfe/form/SV_a4QDGjBa6P1i17M
