🚴♂️💨 Latest Update from my Cycling Challenge!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share the latest cycling update. To date, I’ve covered 4,580 km over 13 weeks. Nature aka the weather has put me through some rough tests in recent weeks - high winds, pouring rain and lightning, and some pretty thick humidity, feeding those cyclonic storms! 🌧️🌪️
Just to be clear, I am not actually circumnavigating Australia. I’m out there on the Gold Coast roads, mirroring the conditions of the ride as best as I can. This journey is more than just a physical challenge; it’s a symbol of real hope to all those patients thinking their life is fast coming to an end, I was them and all I really needed was to see someone who had succeeded it would have given me that lift.
Surviving stage 4 metastatic and terminal cancer is remarkable in itself, it attracts attention, and therein lays a new unexpected responsibility.
Cancer patients suffer a lot, that’s what it is to be a patient, so anything that I can do to alleviate that suffering is a good thing, a positive thing, a meaningful thing. Sharing my story, knowledge, experiences, and wisdom in the best way possible does exactly that, it helps make other patient’s lives more liveable and shines a light on what is possible.
About the Navigator Journals you so generously fund:
At the core of these journals is "The Optimal Cancer Response Pathway" - A Process that zooms in on what must be done right now and leads you through what must be done.
This is Cancers equivalent to CPR; Cancers, a Comprehensive Prepared Response.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Let’s together keep pushing forward and through to become part of the cancer success equation- I am doing it km by km, and patients are doing it hour by hour, day by day - It is torture to only see it slipping away - if they see you helping I promise you it will lift them. 🌍🚴♂️❤️
Don’t forget, you can still contribute and help make a difference: Fund a Patient Navigator Journal. https://cholangio-challengers.raisely.com/steve-holmes
