For many years I believed that if I just did all the right things, I would heal.

If I rolled out my mat every day to practice yoga, sat on my cushion to meditate, did the cold plunge, went on retreat, walked in nature, ate well, and read all the dharma and self help books… eventually everything inside me would fall into place.

And while these practices supported me in many ways, after more than a decade of this approach I found myself struggling internally more than ever. I was still stuck in the same old patterns and limiting core beliefs that kept me feeling small and held me back.

What I didn’t realise at the time was that I had fallen into the trap of spiritual bypassing.

Like many people on a healing path, I was unknowingly overlooking the younger, vulnerable and wounded parts of myself…the parts that felt unloved, invisible and not good enough. The parts that were calling for my attention.

It wasn’t until I began working with a therapist using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and started turning toward those parts with curiosity and compassion that things truly began to shift.

Through parts work, alongside all the supportive practices that helped regulate and reshape my nervous system, things started to shift in my life.

My Rheumatoid Arthritis went into remission.
I found the courage to leave my 21 year marriage.
I started my own business.
I bought my own home.
And most importantly, I began to accept, embrace and even love myself.

Having walked this path, I now feel deeply inspired to support others, particularly women, in gently turning toward the parts of themselves that are longing to be seen, heard and healed.

Because healing isn’t about becoming someone new…it’s about reconnecting with who you already are beneath it all.

If this resonates and you feel called to go deeper on the inward journey, I’d be honoured to support you. Please reach out for more info or visit the link in my bio to book a free intro call to see if we vibe.

Sending love, Naomi 💕

When we meet functional freeze with curiosity and compassion rather than pressure and judgment, we begin to thaw naturally.

And when we thaw, movement, creativity, choice, joy, inspiration, presence, direction, clarity and flow naturally return.

If you’re stuck in chronic nervous system dysregulation ~ fight or flight, freeze, or shutdown ~ talk therapy alone often isn’t enough to shift you out of survival mode.

The nervous system is a ‘show’ not ‘tell’ system. It responds to what the body experiences, not just what the mind understands.

This is why somatic work is so powerful.

By working with the body and the nervous system we can begin to create a felt sense of safety, allowing your system to slowly move out of survival and into regulation.

This is the work I do with my clients.

Alongside being a transformative counsellor, I’m also a nervous system coach with over 14 years of experience working somatically through yoga, meditation and nervous system regulation practices.

I currently have one spot available to start working together this month.

If you’re curious to learn more, reach out or book an intro call through the link in my bio.

Imagine:
• Saying yes to things you really want
• Setting boundaries without guilt
• Feeling proud of yourself at the end of the day
• Living a life that feels alive instead of safe

🌺I help women who feel stuck step into the life that is calling them, reclaim confidence, and stop living on autopilot.

🌻If you’re ready to stop shrinking, start expanding, and create the life you’re longing for, visit the link in my in bio to book a session or FREE intro call.

I work in person on the Gold Coast + online, and currently have two spots available for new clients to start working with me this month 💕

Fawning is a survival response many of us learned early in life. It’s the nervous system’s way of keeping us safe by prioritising connection over authenticity through pleasing, appeasing, and abandoning our own needs to avoid conflict or rejection.

In the moment, it can look like kindness or flexibility. But over time, it often leaves us disconnected from our voice, boundaries, and sense of self.

I know this pattern intimately as it’s something I’ve personally experienced. It’s not a character flaw, but a beautiful protective part. Like all survival responses, it can soften when the nervous system learns that it’s safe to be seen and expressed.

If this is something you’re experiencing, please know that there’s nothing wrong with you, your system is just trying to protect you.

If you’re ready to heal so that you can express yourself fully and freely, I have one spot left for a new client to start working with me this month in my transformative counselling/coaching practice.

Many of us move through life over identified with the roles we play ~ parent, partner, professional, success, failure. We’ve been taught to look in the mirror and say this is me. We listen to the stories and beliefs our mind tells us and assume that is me too. Our history, our emotions, our thoughts become our identity. Which is hard because a lot of us don’t like what we see in the mirror or what goes on in our mind.

But what we are is much deeper.

Our roles, body and mind changes, like a constant stream that never stays the same from one moment to the next. All the while something in the background remains ~ the observing self ~ the part of us that notices everything…every thought, sensation and story. It never ages with the body or fluctuates with the mind. It just is.

What we are is not the mask, the voice in our head, or the experiences we carry, but the awareness in which all of these appear. Pure consciousness.

When we inhibit this place, even for a moment, we realise we are whole and free. There is no problem, nothing to fix, change or get rid of, because who we are is enough.

Through my counselling practice, I love helping people gently find their way back home to this deeper place within themselves.

If this resonates, I’d love to support you ~ feel free to reach out or visit the link in my bio for more info.

Third year lucky solo hiking the Overland Track in Tassie!

For the last few years I’ve planned to do this walk but each time had to cancel because of illness and RA flares. There have been moments when I genuinely wondered if walks like this would ever be possible for me again, but with a lot of effort, patience, a few life changes and really learning to listen to my body, I managed to get my Rheumatoid Arthritis under control and finally made it!

Apart from a slow leak in my air mattress that left me waking up every hour, a terrifying fight between two Tassie devils outside my tent 😳, and one very chilly night, my trip was magical! The weather was beautiful and I had the most amazing time…so happy 🥰

Snow on the top of Mt Ossa and swimming at Hartnett falls were definitely highlights 👌🏻

Overthinking is often a sign of dysregulation ~ your nervous system is just doing its job to keep you safe. When your mind feels loud, start by listening to your body and doing what you need to do to return to regulation.

If you’d like support working with your nervous system to understand why you might be stuck in a survival state and how you can reshape it, book an intro call or visit my website to get a sense of how I work, link in my bio.

Breath and embodied awareness are not just physical practices, they are gateways into understanding our inner landscape.

The more time we spend gently turning inward, connecting with ourselves, the more we get to know who we truly are. And as self understanding deepens, the clearer things become.

We start to understand why we are the way we are and what we need to do to make things better for ourself.

Join me on the inward journey this week before I head off for Overland track:

Tuesday 6am & 9.30am
Thursday 9.30am
Friday 6.30am
