Research 101, held on Wednesday 17th March, was the first in the research series that Gender Equity in Medicine is hosting this year.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, especially our guest speakers who delivered an engaging and informative session:
A/Prof Vinod Gopalan, our favourite pathology lecturer and research king 👑
Dr Vikram Nedunchezhian, two-time Gold Coast Intern and Resident of the Year 💫
As well as our knowledgeable medical student researchers:
Raymond Zhao (MD3)
Natalie Yap (MD3)
Sarah Shea (MD4)
Our session covered research opportunities for Griffith clinical year students, how to cold email consultants and valuable life lessons from our panellists.
“Research is a culture, it’s a habit. Like Audi in F1… aim to be a challenger, then a competitor and then a champion.” - A/Prof Vinod Gopalan, 2026
