What began as a small, deeply intentional practice has grown into a clinic rooted in care, connection and community. Ten years of listening, ten years of learning, ten years of walking beside you through seasons of change.

Shimmy brings warmth, depth, and a deeply grounded presence to her work at Nüwa. As a Chinese medicine practitioner, her care is centred around supporting people through the changing seasons of their lives, physically, emotionally and energetically.

Her approach is holistic and patient-centred, drawing on acupuncture and Chinese medicine to support nervous system regulation, immune health, pain management, mental and emotional wellbeing and long-term vitality. Shimmy is passionate about helping clients feel supported, informed and empowered as they move through their healing journey.

Carissa brings a deeply grounded, thoughtful and compassionate approach to her work at Nüwa. With a background that spans massage, Chinese medicine, fertility and pregnancy care, her treatments are shaped by both extensive clinical experience and lived understanding.

Having worked for many years in specialist fertility and pregnancy clinics, now mentoring the next generation of practitioners, Carissa’s care is holistic, collaborative and patient-centred. Her own experience with endometriosis informs the way she listens, supports and walks alongside her clients, with empathy, clarity and respect.

At Nüwa, Carissa offers personalised treatments that may include acupuncture, massage, cupping, moxibustion, sound therapy and Chinese herbal medicine, with a strong focus on women’s reproductive health, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care.

As we step into a fresh new year, I’ve found myself reflecting on how far Nüwa has come… and how deeply grateful I am for this community.

In 2026, we step into our 10th year of serving our community. Ten years of fertility journeys, pregnancies, postpartum seasons, healing chapters, transformations, tears, celebrations, quiet moments, and so much shared humanity.

Ten years of watching women grow into mothers, families expand, cycles return to harmony, and lives soften into balance.

Ten years of learning, evolving, refining, and deepening the medicine I love.
I am endlessly humbled that this is my work… and that you choose to walk through our doors, trust us with your stories, and allow us to hold space for your healing.

This year, I’m looking forward to continuing that work with even more intention:

• more education and support for women’s health
• more resourcing for fertility, pregnancy & postpartum care
• more depth in our treatments and offerings
• more community, belonging and connection within our clinic
• and mentoring the new generations of practitioners.
