Our Story

Gary and Joyce McFarlane (Founders of renowned massage clinic Next To Nature) first launched the business from their home in 1991. Within one year of operating, they decided to move their busy practice into a clinic located in Nerang. In the following 3 years the practice had become so popular that the business quickly expanded into multiple treatment rooms to accommodate the hire of additional therapists, including Gary and Joyce’s daughter Angela.

​Over it's lifetime Next To Nature has become a well known hub for specialised treatments and home to many exceptional therapists some of which are still part of the team today. As of the 1st of July 2019, Next To Nature's ownership and management transferred over to Reece Verbruggen who has been a team member at Next To Nature since February 2015. Having worked with Gary McFarlane for over 5 years, Reece is passionate about taking this thriving business into the future. Gary continues to practice from the clinic and both he and Reece are dedicated in delivering advanced training to the outstanding team at Next To Nature. Under this new management, Reece and the team will continue to maintain the high standard of services that Next To Nature has always delivered.​
