🌟 Kicking Goals – One Early Morning at a Time 🌟

Last week was a moment we will never forget.

Our beloved client Jasper officially joined the workforce — and not just any job… he stepped straight into the building industry! 🏗️

Against all odds, Jasper was up at the crack of dawn, hat on, sunscreen slapped on, sleeves rolled up and ready to work. His lunch was packed in his new cooler bag, his boots were fresh, and his attitude? Absolutely unstoppable.

There were tears all around watching him walk out the door that morning — proud, determined, and ready to own the day.

Jasper, you are like family to us. Watching you push through barriers, back yourself, and step into employment with confidence reminds us exactly why we do what we do every single day.

This is what inclusion looks like.
This is what opportunity looks like.
This is what belief and support can achieve.

This gorgeous moment captures what Jaz does best ✨ connecting with kids, building trust, and completing thorough paediatric OT assessments in a way that feels fun, safe and supportive.

Based in our Gold Coast clinic, Jaz is known for her warm approach, clinical expertise, and ability to help children feel completely at ease while assessing skills such as regulation, motor development, sensory processing and functional participation.

Fun fact! That always busy feeling could actually be your brain’s way of avoiding emotions. 🤔

For many, keeping busy acts as a coping mechanism, a way to avoid facing difficult emotions or past experiences. What type of support can I receive at a Medicare Mental Health Centre?

Medicare Mental Health Centres offer:
- immediate help and follow-up for people who are in distress
- support for people with mental health concerns
- support for carers and families of people experiencing mental health distress
- help connecting people with other services to support them in the future, from health to mental health, and social supports like housing and employment.

Whether you have experienced mental health challenges in the past or this is your first time reaching out for support, everyone is welcome.

No appointment or referral is needed, you can access services with or without a Medicare card, and you don’t need to be an Australian citizen to access support.

To find a Medicare Mental Health Centre near you, visit www.medicarementalhealth.gov.au/centres

Not near a Centre? Call Medicare Mental Health on 1800 595 212 (8:30am to 5pm weekdays) for free mental health and wellbeing support.

Mental illness doesn’t always look how you think it will.
Confidence can hide anxiety. A smile can cover depression. A busy schedule can mask deep struggle.

You never truly know what someone is carrying even when they seem “fine”.

Check in with your people. Ask the extra question. Be the safe place. Because sometimes, the smallest check-in makes the biggest difference.
