My Top Tips for Eating Seasonally this Spring:
1. When grocery shopping look for the ‘grown in Australia’ stickers/signs
2. Opt to purchase directly from farmers or local markets as much as possible to ensure you get fresh , seasonal and tasty fruit and vegetables.
3. Try creating seasonal recipes or adapt recipes to include seasonal produce.

NOTE: Seasonal produce varies depending on where you live, so be sure to check what’s in season in your local area. Although we aim to communicate with with the best intentions, sometimes comments can lead to unwanted outcomes such as a child feeling pressured or stressed to eat, feeling guilty about their choices, unable to recognise when they are full and much more

Instead we want to focus on positive language as this helps build a child’s confidence, encourages positive eating habits, increases nutritional variety and makes mealtimes enjoyable for everyone.
