New QLD Property Disclosure Laws from 1 August 2025
Are Your Building Approvals in Order?
Starting 1 August 2025, all property sellers in Queensland will be legally required to disclose key information before a contract is signed and that includes unlicenced building works.
Under the new Property Law Act 2023, if sellers fail to provide accurate and complete information, buyers may be able to terminate the contract, even right before settlement.
What Sellers Must Now Disclose ✅
• A signed Form 2 Seller Disclosure Statement
• All prescribed certificates, including:
• Titles & easements
• Unlicenced building work under Section 47 of the QBCC Act 1991
• Zoning and planning information
• Body corporate notices (if applicable)
• Environmental and flood notices
