Earlier this week we introduced Emily, and this week we shine the spotlight on our other co-founder, Stephen Pennisi!

Together, Emily and Stephen lead our team with a shared mission: to revolutionise children’s lives by unlocking their potential through the power of movement.

The new Trexo has arrived on Australian shores, and we’re SO excited to bring this game-changing therapy to a wider age range!

We have expanded our Trexo service to include the larger model, allowing us to support our teens and pre-teens with this incredible technology. This means more children and young adults can experience supported, repetitive walking, which is a powerful tool for stimulating neuroplasticity and building functional strength.

We had the pleasure of Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan visiting our Christchurch clinic this morning where she saw first hand what we are able to provide and she was able to take the time to discuss with families the need for funding and the gaps they feel are in the current systems. Thankyou for taking the time to visit and listen today ❤️

It looks like fun, but messy play is a vital part of Occupational Therapy!

The Benefits of Messy Play:
• Sensory Processing: It helps children regulate and interpret sensory information, building tolerance to different textures.
• Fine Motor Skills: Squishing, pouring, and manipulating materials strengthens hand muscles and dexterity.
• Cognitive Development: It encourages problem-solving, creativity, and imaginative play.

Ella is helping Guy explore his world through touch and texture, supporting his sensory and motor development in a fun, engaging way!

Following her recent Intensive, Emery is back for her regular sessions with Physiotherapist, Emma. They are currently focusing on knee flexion, a key component for building strength and improving her overall gait pattern.

Consistency is crucial for maintaining and building upon the gains made during intensive blocks. We love seeing Emery’s dedication!
