If you’re trying to build muscle and lose fat, here's the truth most people don’t talk about:⁣

I see that most people in their 40s+ aren’t doing cardio wrong... they’re just not doing it smart.

this is a conversation that comes up a lot with the ladies! At the end of the day, please please PLEASE remember that the decision to be or not to be on hormonal birth control is a highly personal one. There is no “should” one way or the other and each woman can make the decision that best supports her. I’ve just shared some basic answers on hormonal BC that I get asked a lot!

Mindset matters! ❤️

This post is not about the signs, symptoms or treatment options available for those going through perimenopause and menopause. This is simply a post about how we can have a positive mindset around aging 🥰

I woke up 4 times last night with hot 🥵 flashes, it’s a typical occurrence for me now. Although I prefer an interrupted night of sleep, it’s not my current reality. I can choose to be upset by it or I can choose to stay positive about it. I choose the later. Instead of being upset when my alarm went off, I was thankful. Thankful that I got another day in this world. Thankful I got to hug my kids again.

I see aging as a privilege denied by many. I plan on enjoying every stage of life. I plan on living my life to the fullest for as long as I am here. This is my mindset and my perspective.

If this post helps even one person start to have a better more positive mindset around aging, then it was worth writing.

Getting older and wiser rocks! Embrace it and enjoy the ride. I sure am 🫶❤️💃🏽

Stop waiting for a non existent perfect time

One thing as a coach that I encounter when talking with potential new clients is there constant need to wait until it’s a good time in their life.

I explained to them that life is about different phases, and there never is going to be a perfect time. In fact, the best time to start a new goal is when you feel like you’re at your most hectic time. Why is that?

The reason is is because it’s not reasonable to never expect to have busy times in your life again. Whether it’s work, family, travel, or injury, this isn’t going to be the only tough time in your life.

It’s better to learn how to start developing the skills and habits needed when it’s rough, so not only will it be easier when times are less chaotic, but you’re gonna be better equipped to know how to handle the next stressful or difficult time in your life, without going off the rails.

Often times the best thing to do is face the fire head on and learn to navigate through it because in this life, there are no guarantees and waiting for a perfect time in your life is a fools errand. That isn’t life, that’s a fairytale.
