We’re heading off on a short break 🩷

Hope - reading and sleeping in.
Reality - lots of boardgames, being woken early and cleaning up melted sticky marshmallows.

I’ll return emails and messages on Friday afternoon when I get back x

I’ve treated lots of headaches the last couple of weeks and it happens every change of season but more notably between Summer and Autumn and Winter to Spring where there’s naturally more wind 🍃

Kids are very susceptible to these changes too. Singlets, socks, warm foods and covering up when heading to the park. They don’t love it of course!

We have lots of weather conversations in our house for this reason.

The Easter break is a good chance to rest, eat nutritious warm food and get out the warm winter clothes! x

I want to explain a little bit about what I do and how I work. This has changed over the last couple of years due to more study, more access to testing, building relationships with experts in other supportive modalities but driven by my frustration in watching women and families go through years of infertility without finding any answers.

I want to take the fatigue, the feeling of being lost, the not knowing what to do next out of the journey and replace it with the feeling of being part of a knowledgeable decision-making process. I want you to feel empowered and physically and emotionally ready for whatever comes next.

Both partners (where applicable) need to be in good health to conceive, so I assess and treat both parents-to-be in order to be able to support you to conceive, grow and deliver healthy children.

I have a system whereby we try to understand as much as possible from a biomedicine, functional medicine, Chinese medicine, psychological and practical point of view, and create a plan specific to you. We set goals and timelines around expectations and outcomes, so you always know where you are on the journey.

My passion is to work with clients who are motivated to be in optimum health before they embark on any IVF – if indeed at that point they still need to do so.

I’m invested in making sure that a healthy baby comes from healthy parents, and that the pregnancy and post-partum journey is also optimised because of this work.

If this sounds like something you’d like to know more about, please reach out.

Kindest,
Paige

This can’t be surprising…

Ultra Processed Foods or UPFs - soda drinks, energy drinks, packaged foods, ready to heat meals, processed meats, cereals, spreads, margarine, vegan ‘meats’ and sauces.

Whole foods, well sourced proteins and dairy (if you can tolerate it), nuts, fruit, vegetables at 80% of your diet is a good way to support fertility x

Infertility, pregnancy, birth preparation, post partum, parenthood….so many transitions and so many unknown experiences. So much fear.

The women and families I see get through their journeys with more hope, are those who are more curious.

Many women who have traumatic fertility, birth and post partum stories wish they’d asked more. Or knew something felt ‘off’ but didn’t know what to ask.

My recommendation is to ask lots of questions from as many people as you can. Test theories yourself. Get second opinions, think further away than what’s local to you.

If you have a niggling question or thought, find a person with more knowledge that can explore it with you.

Being curious is the number one value in moving away from fear and towards hope 🩷

Goodness 14 years married to this beautiful man today! So many adventures. So much love and lots and lots of laughs 🩷

Before children we enjoyed eating out at lovely restaurants and traveling. With children we enjoy eating at home and chilling as close to home as possible 😂

Saturday Clinic ⭐️

In clinic today…
🩷 HRT FET preparation - this beautiful mum is sooo ready now after so many hurdles, more confidence in advocating for herself too
🩷 Ovulation support - this beautiful mum has overcome a bunch of challenges, luteal phase strong and relationship stronger
🩷 Post natal care and support - asking for help has been hard for this beautiful mum, having the capacity to make changes has also been hard, she’s doing great!
🩷 Women’s health - dysregulated cycle, energy and mood since second child, she’s doing great! Lots of chatting around how energy is used up and also nourished in the body - less rushing for her
🩷 Labour preparation - sleeping better, improved appetite, feeling more positive about birth preparation and the uncertainty of outcomes
🩷 Early pregnancy support - so much fear after past pregnancy losses but we’re doing everything we can and she’s soooo well prepped x

Something I love about acupuncture and the way I run the rooms - we spend the first 20min chatting and connecting. Then we do the treatment, then your body gets to rest and heal 🩷

Magic.
Have a beautiful weekend.

This made me laugh!

I’m really enjoying treating male partners at the moment and they really like acupuncture 🩷

If you’re trying to conceive with a male partner, it really works so well for you both to hear the same information, for you both to get individual support and understanding to be able to work together.

Fertility work can feel lonely even if you’re in a relationship. But it helps to have you both on board, together.

If you took a day off work for no reason or took the kids out of school for no reason to have a ‘Rest and Reset Day’, what would it look like?

Would you catch up on errands you’ve been meaning to?
Would you sit at the beach reading a book?
Would you go for a walk and have a quiet coffee on your own?
Would you sit in bed all day watching movies?
Would you sit in the park reading with your kids?

What are some things that are stopping you?

I know if kids are in school that they get a lot of holidays and it seems like their days are short. But observing my kids (almost 8yo and 5yo), school is exhausting!

Around mid term or a little bit later they start to sleep in longer, fight routines more, fight more with each other and around this time of year start to get a cold or run down. I feel like we can lose some connection as we’re all so busy.

I also know we get weekends but they seem so filled with family obligations, community obligations, food shopping, sport, cleaning and preparing for the week that it can be hard to prioritise a whole day for resting and resetting.

I’ve found it works to all take a day off each term. We go to the beach when there’s no one around, go to an indoor play centre when there’s no one around, head to HOTA or ride our bikes and sit and have some lunch and read books together. It feels different on a ‘school day’.

Try it and see what happens for you or your family 🩷
