If you’re new here - welcome! I’m a Gold Coast–based clinical nutritionist (with telehealth clients all over Australia), and I help tired, busy mums and families feel better & live more vibrantly through practical, achievable health strategies.

From beachside ice cream to paddocks full of purple flowers and ponies, this month has been a beautiful blend of work, play, and plenty of immune support 🌿

Mum-Life as a Nutritionist 🌿

Some days it’s about not getting Brekky until lunchtime. Far from perfect! But, having a bit of “me” time this morning was just what I needed to get through it all. Motherhood…It’s chaotic. It’s wild. It’s hard, yet also so wholesome & heart-filling. No greater joy. No greater frustration. The duality is incredible. But what can we learn along the way?

Maybe you didn’t eat Brekky either, but what can we do, even just for 5mins a day to prioritise ourselves so we can show up as our true selves and, thus, help our kids learn how to regulate themselves and be their best self.

Happy New Year! ✨🎉

We had a very busy December, but have had some magical days lately with bush walks, friend-visits, motorbike rides, creek swims, pool swims - the lot!

How are your new years resolutions setting in? Or are you still in holiday bliss and haven't made a start as yet?

We often want change in our life...but did you know, unless you actually sit down and work out how you are going to implement those changes, they usually won't happen?

If you want 2025 to be your year that you lose the weight, feel lighter, healthier and happier...you first need to work out the when , where, how, what and why.

For example, our conversation about your NY resolution might look like:
You: "I want to lose weight"...
Me: "Great! How are you going to do that?"
You "Work-out every day for 1 hr & eat salad"
Me "But HOW are you going to do that, lets be specific..."
You "......"

See the thing is, in order to create success, the specific are actually crucial!

Here is a few tips:
➡️Don't raise the bar too high initially - make it achievable. I.e. I'm going to aim to move my body daily for 10 mins

➡️Note when you are going to do it i.e. I will go for a 10 min walk as soon as my alarm goes off. Prepare the night before - set out your runners, and active wear, decide where you are going to walk to

➡️Stack your healthy habits on your daily ones that already exist! i.e When you get out of bed to the alarm, or before/after a morning coffee.

➡️Decide the person you want to be and healthy habits to value. There's no point going on a "Diet" for one month - you will only end up back to square one. Start seeing yourself as someone who is active, and enjoys veggie juice!

➡️Don't set yourself up for sabotage. I.e. If you hate walking or running, choose a movement you enjoy instead - maybe it can be more incidental like you love mountain biking - great, go do more! Don't fill your fridge with foods that you know will be way too tempting to have on-hand. Create a super fridge full of healthy goodies and snacks that you can have UNLIMITED access to.

On another note, I have found in clinic some good motivators to get the ball rolling for healthy new years resolutions, especially weight loss is Food Compatibility Testing. It really can propel you into the year with clarity and guidance around what your body actually NEEDS, not just what is reacting and causing problems.

Yep - eating foods that are incompatible with your body can lead to a plethora of symptoms:

❌Inflammation, weight gain & feeling heavy

❌Fatigue & sluggishness

❌Digestive issues including constipation and diarrhoea

❌Reflux & Indigestion

❌Brain fog, head aches and migraines

❌Eczema, psoriasis and rashes

❌Behavioural issues in kids

❌Unsettled babies

The list goes on…

And just like that, my clinic has wrapped up for the year!

A heartfelt thank you to all my incredible patients. You’ve worked so hard to improve your health this year, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. While I can guide, test, and recommend, you are the ones making the changes and doing the work. You should be so proud of yourselves - because I am!

Reflecting on this year, I’m so proud of the growth in my clinic. I introduced gut microbiome sequencing and expanded food reaction testing, helping uncover the root causes of so many stubborn symptoms. Seeing patients finally get answers and relief has been so rewarding.

I also completed extra training in gut health and metabolic health, especially for women, and I’m so excited to launch a weight loss program next year. On top of that, I released my very first Healthy Christmas eBook (use LAUNCH30 for 30% off-ending soon!) and am working hard to finish my Healthy Budget Recipe eBook for early 2025.

At home, we built a thriving veggie garden this year. Harvesting fresh produce daily with my little boy has been the sweetest gift and such a grounding reminder of life’s simple joys.

It hasn’t always been easy juggling work and mum life, but I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved this year. I love what I do, and that makes all the difference.

My clinic will reopen in January, but I’m already fully booked until late January.
