TAs collaborate with your Allied Health Professional/s to carry out your treatment plan at home/school, reducing your number of appointments needed! TAs are billed to the same NDIS Catergory as your therapist (Category 15) at a fraction of the cost ($86/hr compared to $194/hr)
Examples of Therapy Assistance include:
- Speech therapy sound practice
- Exercises targeting mobility, strength, and coordination
- Supported personal care tasks, such as bathing, toileting, and dressing
- Supported Meal planning and preparation
- Practicing skills in community activities, such as shopping, social activities and attending appointments
TAs can work with a range of Allied Health Professionals, such as:
Occupational Therapists
Speech Pathologists
Psychologists
Physiotherapists
Behavioural therapists
Art therapists
Music therapists
Dietitians
Exercise Physiologists
