Perimenopause is the phase before menopause when your hormones decide to throw a surprise party—every single day. It usually begins in your 40s (sometimes earlier) and can last several years. During this time, estrogen levels fluctuate, leading to symptoms that range from mildly annoying to downright frustrating.

Common Symptoms?

- Brain fog that makes you forget why you walked into a room

- Random chills and hot flashes that make dressing a daily challenge
