I was honoured to co present with Tony at the Asia Pacific Autism Conference 2025 in Perth, hosted by Autism Western Australia. Our presentation, Embracing Neurodiversity as a Child, highlighted practical ways to support children in understanding their strengths. In this photo Tony is showing a video he created to demonstrate how to use our new All About Neurodiversity Cards with his granddaughter, aged twelve. These cards were developed in collaboration with our dear friend and colleague, Kathy Hoopman, author of All Cats are on the Autism Spectrum and many well loved books for neurodivergent children.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to Autism WA for hosting such an important event.
You can find the All About Neurodiversity Cards through Woodslane: https://woodslane.com.au/products/9781805010388

If you're an autistic woman (or care for someone who is), you've probably left medical appointments feeling dismissed, rushed, or like nobody was really listening.

Research shows autistic women face "double jeopardy" in healthcare - experiencing worse outcomes than being autistic OR being female would predict alone.

The good news is that some doctors are starting to get it. And there are specific ways to make appointments work better for you. We've written about what's actually going on in these interactions, and what you can ask for to change them. Visit the link in comments for more.
