It’s that time of year again, the two local High schools face off in the annual rivalry Battle of Lucy Street.

The current title holder is the South Dade Bucs who beat the Homestead Broncos last year.

Will the Bucs repeat ?

Will Homestead get the first W of the year and upset South Dade ?

The two schools clash this Friday at Harris Field, show up and show support for both schools.

SHUTDOWN ALLIGATOR ALCATRAZ!

U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams granted a preliminary injunction that prohibits the government from transferring any new detainees to Alligator Alcatraz or performing any more construction work.

60 days, is what the judge ordered the Trump administration to remove temporary fencing, industrial lighting, generators, sewage and waste receptacles from the site.

Homestead Teacher arrested for child abuse felony.

Sandra Marta Colombo, 61, of Waterstone Charter School, was taken into custody at her home in Homestead on Wednesday.

According to reports on Feb. 28 at Waterstone Charter School, Colombo allegedly threw a “chancla” intending to get the attention of a misbehaving student. Instead, striking a different juvenile in the ear and forehead.

Sandra Colombo is currently at TGK waiting arraignment.

Homestead, FL- Homestead City Council in a unanimous 7-0 approval, gave the green light for the multi sport facilities and stadium to be built in Keys Gate.

We inquired what happens to Keys Gate HS, who have been using the baseball fields since they opened and the AYSO a soccer league who uses the soccer fields year round.In short they will have access to one baseball field and 3 multi purpose fields during non-peak hours of M-F 5:30am - 3:00 pm.

The multi sport school facility will have exclusive access during peak hours M-F 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and all day weekends and holidays.

The VSGS FACILITIES LLC will have sole discretion to allow other fields to be utilized by the public during peak and during non peak hours.

Recommendation to Keys Gate HS and AYSO: Attend the next meeting and demand more access to this public property and in writing.

Looking forward to this new facility and the opportunity for local students, who at first VSGS was offering a few scholarships every year to great athletes and at the last meeting they stated they will not be offering the scholarships to local students.

But a nice facility.

Well I normally leave private citizens alone but this warrants publication.

Want to know just how deep the tentacles of corruption run, or used to?

Former Miami Herald reporter Monique Madan used to cover South Florida.

Apparently she is now out of a job and begging for money.

Two of her top donors are former City Manager George Gretsas and former Herald Editor Casey Frank.

Why is that important?

Well first off while the GoFundMe add lauds her as a powerhouse investigative journalist, however, I know otherwise.

If anyone remembers the last Herald article trashing Steve Shiver, that was actually written by Jason King (I have the metadata proving it) the right hand man of George Gretsas and given to the Herald/Monique and published as original work without acknowledging Jason King's contributions as the authour.

Yes, that same article full of outright falsehoods, and used as a political hitpiece to corrupt the election in Homestead.

Maybe that is what they mean by powerhouse investigative journalist. Someone who just takes things handed to her and pretends its her own work, without fact checking or reaching out to the othe side.

Or how about when she met with me, pretending to care, let me by her lunch and accepted all my evidence only to never publish. Anyone want to bet on whether she handed what I gave her over to George Gretsas?

Also the good stories she did do, I know who actually did the investigative work, it certaunly wasn't her. Sadly, only the work done on Gretsas' enemies was ever published. How conveinent?

Monique, I truly hope the $1,000 makes up for selling your integrity, and that you never again can do the things you did. Curious, were you ever compensated in other ways by Gretsas for doing his dirtywork? Asking for a friend.

And to the Herald, are you ever going to admit what happened and apologize for interfering in Homestead elections, or just keep losing credibility?

Some got upset about my post the other day, let me explain.

Ryan khawley was promoted to Professional Compliance (i.e., IA).

But there are many reasons he shouldnt be there.

First and foremost his violation of policy got three kids killed, one of them being the grandaughter of a HPD cop who got shot in the line of duty, and they lied to his face about his dead grandaughter.

He cheated in school, and was refused to be hired by other departments for his lack of integrity.

Homestead wasn't going to hire him, until his brother-in-law Yanko Rodriguez stepped in.

Then after he got the kids killed he falsified his reports, which I can prove and is a felony.

Also while the kids were alive in the water he left them there to die while he reviewed his bodycam video to start the cover up.

Ryan also commited perjury under oath to cover for his crimes.

For anyone who thinks I am defaming this do**he canoe please tell him to sue me. I dare him to, Ill even pay his filing fee for him, just to kick his ass in court. But you know what he won't and can't because the truth is an absolutle defense to defamation.

Also he would open himself up to discovery and Id go so far up his backside, the evidence that came out would like send him to prison where he belongs.

However it is disgusting that HPD refuses to follow the nepotism policy, and brags publicly about promoting do**hebags like Yanko Rodriguez and Ryan Khawley.

Yes, they are brothers-in-law. And Yanko did a lot of dirty crap to cover for his brother-in-law Ryan Khawley after Ryan's actions lead to the death of three minors, and he falsified his reports.

Guess it's time to file some IA complaints for perjury.

El alcalde Steve Losner ha declarado en repetidas ocasiones que NO existe un temor infundado a la deportación de inmigrantes en la ciudad de Homestead.

Vive la situación normal en Homestead, mientras ignora estas redadas orquestadas por ICE, FHP y HPD, a las que el alcalde Steve Losner votó.

Según informes, los inmigrantes de California se declaran en huelga hoy.

¿Deberían los inmigrantes locales de Homestead quedarse en casa y también declararse en huelga?

ICE está atacando empleos, escuelas, tiendas e iglesias.

No hay refugio más seguro que tu hogar, donde ICE no puede entrar sin una orden de JUEZ o a menos que los dejes entrar.

Actualmente, la mayor fuerza laboral de Homestead se concentra en la agricultura y la construcción, ambas controladas por los inmigrantes de Homestead.

Steve Losner a veces tiende a escuchar a sus clientes, más que a sus electores. Cuando denunciamos mala conducta y represalias en HHA y él guardó silencio, surge una queja de un cliente de la construcción... ¿y ahora se muda?

Los inmigrantes de nuestra comunidad tienen el control sobre la economía en crisis de Homestead, la limitada fuerza laboral y el actual exceso de desarrollo urbanístico.

Quizás unas breves vacaciones de los inmigrantes en Homestead transmitan al alcalde Steve Losner y al Consejo el mensaje de que el miedo es real y exijan una reforma migratoria.

Arrested while being brown in the Redland District of Miami Dade (Homestead)??

According to Mr. Aguilera while visiting from Georgia and was parked on what he taught was public property mapping directions to the nearest gas station.

According to Aguilar he was tased and arrested by Miami Dade Sheriff after what they said he did not comply to demands.

The State Attorney eventually dropped all charges except for resisting arrest and will have to Plea No Contest, but Mr. Aguilera states he has done nothing wrong.
