Tolman Self Care is an Australian company founded in 2006 that believes in the power of whole food as medicine and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Inspired by the teachings of the internationally renowned author and speaker, Don Tolman, the word Tolman also refers to a very specific kind of apple known as the "Tolman Sweeting", hence the apple symbol in our logo. Self Care is all about being in charge of your own health, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is about self responsibility. This is the opposite to "health care", which today has become a multi-trillion dollar global industry that mostly thrives on the perpetuation of sickness and dis-ease for profit. Health care is a reactive approach that suppresses symptoms, whereas self care is a proactive approach that requires conscious daily habits in order to avoid toxicity and dis-ease. Central to the Tolman philosophy is the ancient wisdom of the 7 principles of health, known as:

Tolman Self Care Story

It all began over a long breakfast in July 2006.

Zane and Inga Truscott have been avid fans of Don Tolman’s work since the mid 90's when their paths crossed at a live convention in Australia.

For the months and years that followed that first exposure to Don’s message, Zane and Inga immersed themselves in Don's educational materials and products, which had a significant and lasting impact on their lives.

In late 2005, the stars aligned and Don teamed up with Zane’s father, Stephen, to publish and release Don's new flagship set of books, the Farmacist Desk Reference Vol I & II, Encyclopaedia of Whole food Medicine.

Don's goal was to get the wisdom contained within his 'FDR' into the hands of as many people as possible, so that it could become a family heirloom handed down through the generations. And so that the wisdom of ancient cultures, YOUR ancestors, wasn’t lost forever.

"Knowing Don's background that lead him to create the FDR, we felt that it was important for him to be able to reveal the story behind his compendium. We believed that a live seminar environment was the perfect way for Don to share his story, get his message out there to large groups of people and to empower them to invest in these amazing books", says Inga.

"Zane pretty much grew up in the seminar industry and I had spent two years being part of a special project launch for another international speaker in Australia, so we felt we had a firm grip on the mechanics behind promoting someone of Don’s calibre".

And so with an enormous belief in the project, Zane and Inga seized the opportunity to create a live event model to help Don to share his Self Care and Self Education message throughout Australia and New Zealand.

During the early days, their young daughters appeared on stage with Don to help him demonstrate his fascinating "accelerated memory" and imagination-enhancement" techniques, which wowed sell-out audiences across the country.

Zane and Inga, together with their support team, have continued to promote, host and facilitate Don's live events in Australia.

They've also created a purpose-built production, distribution facility and customer support centre on the Gold Coast, to give people easy access to Australian-made and sourced natural solutions and handcrafted Self Care products.

They hope to be able to create positive change in your life too one day, like so many others before you.
